MS is BS New England

MS is BS New England Our mission is to provide support and resources to local individuals and their families impacted by multiple sclerosis (MS). “Don’t limit your challenges.

We assist individuals and family affected by MS by providing equipment and services. Challenge your limits.” Many ask the question “Why me?”, some blame others for their misfortune, others give up, then there are those who overcome and conquer. That is the exact type of attitude we would like to instill in every participant that attends our event. Multiple Sclerosis in itself is a truly debilitat

ing disease that takes over one’s Central Nervous System, however this disease does not define them. What these individuals go through on a daily basis is incredible in itself, never mind the feats many of them achieve on top of that. With our name “MS is BS”, we are in no way discrediting the disease, but instead we are commending every single individual with the disease that wakes up each day with a smile on their face, ready to take on the challenges of life. Multiple Sclerosis affects people in the prime of their lives, between the ages of 20 and 50. Every hour someone is newly diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and more than 2.5 million people worldwide live with this unpredictable disease. The symptoms of MS are different for everyone - the only certainty is that it will affect yet another person every hour of every day. Currently there is no cure for MS, which is why we felt the need to make an impact in the Multiple Sclerosis community through this fundraising event.

This past weekend, we received a “truckload” of donated equipment — and we’re happy to share that every item has already found a new home!

The older scooter and rollators were quickly matched with individuals in need, along with an almost-new power wheelchair. Tarik from Haverhill, MA was especially thrilled to receive the power wheelchair, which replaced his older broken unit and will help restore his independence and mobility.

Thank you Carrie Lloyd and everyone who helps make donations like these possible!
