Established in 1974, North American Family Institute (NAFI | NFI) is a private, nonprofit human service agency dedicated to providing community-based mental and behavioral health care. NAFI is the parent company of four regional subsidiaries across eight states: NFI North, NAFI CT | NY | RI, NFI Vermont, and NFI MA, NAFI FL. Separate from the work of our subsidiaries, NAFI runs two programs design

ed to fulfill special initiatives, Youth & Police Initiative and Homecare Choices. Our programs are built upon the philosophy that people are capable of meaningful change and that, with a supportive environment, the right tools, and opportunities for growth, every individual can become successful in their own home and community.

At NFI Vermont, our AdoptMent program is doing truly incredible work, creating connections between adopted youth and adult mentors in their communities who were also adopted. Mentors and mentees come together for group and one-on-one activities, building spaces and relationships that foster open discussion, empowerment, understanding and belonging.

NFI North's THS Maple Lodge proudly presented "What The Mask Holds, The Selves We Shape," a sculptural exhibition featuring clay masks that reflected each creator’s unique personal story.

Participants worked alongside artist, Megan Littlehale, in a series of self-portrait workshops, exploring their personal journeys in a shared testament to healing and self-expression. They showcased their art at The Gallery at WREN in Bethlehem, NH, where friends and family gathered to celebrate their resilience, hard work, and creativity.
