Come see the many treasures we have at the Bargain Barn, located behind the Stoneham Senior Center at 136 Elm St, Stoneham. Open every Thursday from May through Sept, from 10am to 2pm, the Barn offers a huge array of household goods, bags, media (CDs and DVDs) and fun stuff. Consider adopting Marlene Loulou or Irene Monica, two little Cabbage Patch kids now looking for new homes. Or bring in your own donations; all sales go towards great programs at the Stoneham Senior Center.

Come celebrate the season opening of the Bargain Barn at the Stoneham Senior Center on Thursday, May 7th, 2026! The Friends of the Stoneham Senior Center operate the Bargain Barn weekly (Thursdays, 10am-2pm) during the spring and summer months. 100% of donation sales from the Barn go to support programs and activities of the Senior Center, enhancing the dignity, independence and engagement of seniors in the community. Come over, browse and find treasures galore! Have treasures you want to share? Donate them!

The famous Bargain Barn operated by the Friends of Stoneham Senior Center will once again open for the season, on Thursday, April 30, 2026. The Barn accepts donations of gently used home goods, and proceeds are used to support programs of the Senior Center. Come visit the Barn behind the Senior Center at 136 Elm St. Stoneham, and see what treasures and fun we offer! We will be open Thursdays from 10am to 2pm through the spring/summer months.

The Bargain Barn at the Stoneham Senior Center has just opened for the season! Operated by volunteers of the Senior Center Friends, we are open every Thursday from 10am to 2pm, May through Sept. The Barn's sales/donations contribute to the funding of services and activities at the Stoneham Senior Center. Come browse, have fun, and be a part of this great tradition!

Thank you to all for the support you have shown with the 2024 Senior Center Barn. Your donations and your patronage have made for an amazing, successful season! While we cannot collect Barn sales items again until next spring, we continue to welcome any charitable donations you may wish to make.

For those who may consider this, we would also be happy to discuss options for contributing to the Senior Center Friends of Stoneham. A Qualified Charitable Contribution (QCD) would enable a senior to contribute directly from their IRA to a 501(c)(3) charity with the amount included as part of their Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) but excluded from the taxation for normal retirement distributions.

You may also consider gifts of stock or other investments, qualifying for a charitable contribution but avoiding the capital gains tax that sales of appreciated stock might normally incur. This is one more way to show your continued support of the Stoneham Senior Center and its valued programs and activities.
