The adults aka “bat patrol” couldn’t let April Fools go by without a little fun, so some of the leaders decided to “dress like the scouts.” Complete with “proper uniform:” hoodie under the shirts, sweatpants, and of course Crocs with socks. All in good fun!

Congratulations to Troop 513’s newest Eagle Scout. Derek Langenau.

This Giving Tuesday, consider giving a recurring donation to Scouting in Stoneham! Your generosity will help ensure that Scouting in our community is accessible to any youth who wants to participate.

We’ve had three alumni step forward and agree to match up to a total of $1,500 of annualized giving. That means every dollar you donate is doubled to extend the impact of your generosity.

Today, December 2nd, our donation platform is reducing fees to help make sure more money goes to us, as well as providing an additional 1% match, so please consider making your donation today!

UPDATE: A fourth alumnus joined the match, so donations up to $2000 will be matched annually!

Scouts this weekend were all to excited to join in the Stoneham 300th parade and drone show.

Scouts marched in the parade then went straight to the town common to give out popcorn and cotton candy before the drone show!

Scouts got to meet the owner of the drone company. He is in fact is an Eagle scout himself so was all too eager to say hi to the troop.

First trip of the scouting year, we couldn’t have asked for better weather, although not completely without rain.

Scouts finally got to on a biking trip. 16 scouts hit the biking paths through Myles Standish State park all scouts did 10 miles ( some did 15).

Of course the scouts did plenty of cooking, bacon, bacon and more bacon.
