We meet every other Thursday in the basement of Incarnation

Pack 635 serves Melrose Boys and Girls in Grades K - 5 and is focused on instilling leadership qualities, a strong sense of self worth, team building characteristics, and a respect for nature.

A little rain can’t stop these Cubs!

The Pack held its Spring Campout at Camp Carpenter this past weekend. While the weather was not what we expected, it was incredible to see all of these Scouts persevere and show some real grit as they took the wet weather in stride and made the most of it!

The weekend was filled with exploring the camp, letting imaginations run wild, enjoying some camp cooking, and telling stories and playing games around the fire. Certainly a campout to remember!

Pinewood Derby and Blue & Gold Banquet

The Pack hosted its biggest event of the year this past weekend - the joint Pinewood Derby and Blue & Gold Banquet

As always, the variety and creativity across the Scout’s cars did not disappoint! Congratulations to all of our award winners and everyone for a fun and successful derby!

We also celebrated our fifth grade Scouts as they received their Arrow of Light award - the highest award in Cub Scouts. Our nine AOL recipients then crossed over into Troop 635, marking the end of their Cub Scout journey, but the beginning of even greater adventures!

Congratulations to all of our AOL recipients - you are leaving the Pack better than you found it. Thank you for all the fun you’ve brought to our meetings these past five years!

Anchors aweigh!

The Scouts had a blast staying overnight on the USS Massachusetts at Battleship Cove. Whether it was sleeping in the sailors’ bunks, dining in the wardroom, learning Morse Code, or just exploring every nook and cranny of the ship, there was no shortage of adventure to be had!

Thanks to the fantastic staff for hosting such an amazing program!

A huge thank you to the Melrose Firefighters for hosting our Pack for our meeting last week. The Scouts enjoyed hearing about what it’s like to be a firefighter, asking lots of questions, and seeing all the gear our firefighters use!

Happy Veteran’s Day 🇺🇸

The Pack would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our nation’s Veterans. Our Scouts had the opportunity to participate in the Melrose Veteran’s Day ceremony today, leading the group in the Pledge of Allegiance and showing their appreciation to those who have sacrificed so much.

Last week, the Scouts also enjoyed our annual movie night during our Pack meeting. Who doesn’t love hot chocolate and popcorn while enjoying an outdoor movie?!?

Hike to Wright’s Tower & Panther Cave

Our Webelos & AOL Scouts led the Pack on a hike through the Fells this past weekend, stopping at Wright’s Tower to enjoy some views of Boston on a beautiful Fall day, as well as Panther Cave, where the Scouts always love exploring the cave and rock outcrop.

We’re so fortunate to have this beautiful resource in our backyard, making it so easy to get into and explore nature!

Fall Campout 2025

For our Fall Campout this year, the Pack spent the night sleeping amongst the fortifications at Fort Adams, RI. The Scouts loved this very unique campsite and all the adventure it offered!

Huge thank you to our host, Fort Adams Trust, for an amazing overnight and an incredible tour of all the nooks and crannies of the fort!

Welcome Bobcats!

Even though Bobcat isn’t an official rank anymore, we continued our tradition of welcoming our newest Scouts into the Pack with our annual Bobcat Ceremony, marking the completion of their very first adventure requirements and the beginning of their journey into Scouting.

We also took time to recognize some of our returning Scouts who successfully completed the Pack hike up Mount Monadnock over the Summer.

Congratulations to our newest Scouts on taking this first step! We look forward to watching you travel down your Scouting trail.
