To Our Incredible MMTrant Foundation Family,

As we reflect on last month's 6th Annual Co****le Tournament & Social, one word comes to mind: gratitude.

To every supporter, sponsor, donor, attendee, volunteer, event vendor, and community partner—THANK YOU for believing in our mission and for helping make our 6th Annual Co****le Tournament & Social such a tremendous success!

Looking back through these photos, we're reminded that what began with Mother Nature throwing us a stormy curveball quickly became something so much greater — a celebration of compassion, community, and the incredible impact that can be made when people come together for a cause bigger than themselves. Despite the rainy start, hundreds gathered with smiling faces, generous hearts, and a shared commitment to supporting the future of nursing.

To our Corporate Sponsors & MarketStreet Lynnfield: thank you for your continued partnership and generosity. Your belief in our mission allows us to create opportunities that directly impact future nurses and the patients they will one day serve.

To our amazing Event Vendors: thank you for donating your time, talents, products, and services. Your professionalism, enthusiasm, and willingness to give back created an unforgettable experience for every guest in attendance. It truly takes a village to make an event like this possible.

Thank you to Real Wicked Events for bringing every tournament detail together seamlessly and Black Diamond Event Production for creating an incredible event experience. Thank you to Lynnfield's Davio's Northern Italian Steakhouse, Burton's Bar & Grill, La Gallina, King's Dining & Entertainment, The Beer Mobile, Spindrift Sparkling Water, GlowBar and Wellness in Motion for generously treating our guests to amazing food, beverages and wellness experiences throughout the night. We are truly so fortunate to have such an incredible network of local businesses standing beside our mission, many of whom continue to support us year after year.

To everyone who purchased a ticket, entered a raffle, made a donation, shared our event, or simply showed up to support us: THANK YOU. Every act of generosity, no matter the size, helps us continue investing in aspiring nurses and current nurse professionals, carrying forward a legacy rooted in compassion, empathy and service.

And to our extraordinary 2026 MMTrant Foundation Nursing Scholarship recipients -- Congratulations!! Watching you accept your scholarships was one of the most meaningful moments of the evening. Your passion, dedication, and commitment to caring for others give us tremendous hope for the future of healthcare. We know each of you will carry Mary's legacy into every classroom, every clinical rotation, every hospital room, and every life you touch. We are incredibly proud to be a small part of your journey and cannot wait to watch all that you accomplish!

Finally, to our volunteers, fellow board members, family, friends and property management staff: thank you for the countless hours spent planning, organizing, lifting, setting up, checking in guests, coordinating vendors and permits, and making every detail come together. Your behind-the-scenes work is the heartbeat of this event.

The MMTrant Foundation was built on the belief that compassion, kindness, and empathy matter, and creates a ripple effect. Because of all of you, that ripple continues to grow.

Together, we are honoring Mary's life in the most beautiful way possible — not simply by remembering her, but by empowering the next generation of nurses to care for others with the same compassion, strength, and selflessness that defined her.

Thank you for helping us keep Mary's legacy alive. We couldn't do it without you, and we are so grateful to have you as part of our growing MMTrant Foundation family.

With heartfelt gratitude,

Emily McCarthy & Samantha Kelly

Congratulations 2026 Scholarship Recipient, Allison Shpritzer ✨

The MMTrant Foundation is proud to recognize Allison of Tewksbury, MA as a 2026 recipient of the Mary Margaret Trant Nursing Scholarship.

A recent graduate of Tewksbury High School (Class of 2026), Allison will attend Endicott College this fall to pursue a degree in Nursing.

Allison knew since she was very young she wanted to work in healthcare, but at the time was unsure of the capacity. Later, she was asked by medical professionals a very though-provoking question that ultimately provided her clarity what her calling would be: “ do you want to be in the lab, or do you want to be at the bedside?” After this exchange she realized her nursing calling, her “heart belonged with the patients”. Allison’s passion for nursing only grew as she went through high school. During this time, she shadowed in a local wound care unit and founded Tewksbury High’s Schools’ Nursing & Pre-Med Club, sparking shared interest with over 30 members! No doubt her love for science combined with genuine commitment to helping improve the lives of those in her care will lead her to become an impactful nurse.

We extend our warmest congratulations to Allison and wish her continued success on her nursing journey this fall and in all the years to come!

Congratulations to 2026 Scholarship Recipient, Vincent Rodriguez ✨

The MMTrant Foundation is proud to recognize Vincent of Tewksbury, MA as a 2026 recipient of the Mary Margaret Trant Nursing Scholarship.

A recent graduate of Tewksbury Memorial High School (Class of 2026), Vincent will attend the University of Massachusetts Amherst this fall to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Vincent shared that his decision to become a nurse is deeply personal, shaped by both his own experiences as a patient and the example set by the nurses in his family. As a lifelong soccer goalkeeper, he experienced firsthand how compassionate, skilled nurses can transform moments of fear and uncertainty into hope and healing. Inspired by his mother, aunt, and cousin—all dedicated nurses—Vincent hopes to provide that same steady presence and compassionate care to others.

One of Vincent’s most admirable qualities is his resilience. He draws a meaningful connection between the responsibility of being a goalkeeper and the role of a nurse—“remaining calm under pressure, stepping up when others need you most, and making decisions that can profoundly impact someone’s life” His essay reflected not only maturity and accountability but also a genuine desire to serve others with empathy, humility, and unwavering dedication.

We extend our warmest congratulations to Vincent and wish him every success as he begins his nursing journey this fall. We have no doubt he will make a lasting difference in the lives of countless patients and families for years to come. 💙

Congratulations to 2026 Scholarship Recipient, Sophie Brown ✨

The MMTrant Foundation is proud to recognize Sophie Brown of Melrose, MA as a 2026 recipient of the Mary Margaret Trant Nursing Scholarship.

A recent graduate of Melrose High School (Class of 2026), Sophie will attend the University of Massachusetts-Amherst this fall to pursue her degree in Nursing.

Sophie shared that her calling to nursing came from seeing so much pain and hurt in the world —and the need for more experienced caregivers to work on healing people. Lately, Sophie had been busy working at Tufts Medical Center as a patient resource; greeting, giving directions, and sometimes lending a hand and ear to those who need it most along their travels to different specialists. It was in these moments, she realized pursuing nursing was for her not only because of the interpersonal connections she could make, but have a direct stake  everyday in level of empathetic care a patient receives to better their health or at the very least, make circumstance and conditions more bearable.

We extend our warmest congratulations to Sophie and wish her continued success on her nursing journey this fall at UMass- Amherst and in all the years to come!

Congratulations to 2026 Scholarship Recipient, Jennalise Mercer ✨

The MMTrant Foundation is proud to recognize Jennalise of Tewksbury, MA as a 2026 recipient of the Mary Margaret Trant Nursing Scholarship.

A recent graduate of Tewksbury High School (Class of 2026), Jennalise will attend Saint Anselm College this fall to pursue a degree in Nursing.

Jennalise shared that her calling to become a nurse came from instinctive drive to help others and make profound impacts in their lives whether it be through life saving treatment assistance or simply being a warm smile they can feel reassured with in medical setting. She hopes her studies prepare her to become a pediatric oncology nurse.

One of the many striking characteristics of Jennalise is her immense empathy. During her time in High School, she participated in and eventually coordinated a fashion show to raise awareness & funds for Dana Farbers pediatric brain cancer research in honor of a former Tewksbury student that sadly passed away after courageous battle with rare brain tumor. Not only was the show a success and helped raised crucial funds ($37,500!) but this opportunity also helped
make clear how passionate about nursing she was and driven she would be to be a real difference maker in healthcare.

We extend our warmest congratulations to Jennalise and wish her continued success on her nursing journey this fall and in the years to come!

The MMTrant Foundation is proud to recognize Sophie Brewin of Stoneham, MA as a 2026 recipient of the Mary Margaret Trant Nursing Scholarship.

In addition to being a strong scholar, Sophie shared empathetic caregiving qualities had always been apart of her life since she grew up closely helping both sets of aging grandparents. Realizing Nursing was her passion was recognized by working in close proximity to patients at Wi******er Hospital as a food service helper. Seeing first-hand how even the smallest of acts, like delivering meals to patients, made such a profound impact on their day, made her crave to find ways to help on even deeper healthcare-related levels. Sophie realizes that while patients should remain the center of attention, it is equally important to provide support for their families and loved ones whether it be through reassuring, clear communication or thoughtful medical support demonstrations. We have no doubt Sophie’s kindness and compassion will help her become an outstanding Nurse.

Ruby shared that her passion for nursing grew since she was a small child, watching her mother a dedicated oncology nurse at nearby hospital provide loving and superior care to all her patients.
