🩺💕 More than a stethoscope — a symbol of purpose, compassion, and the journey ahead.

Because of the incredible generosity of MMTrant Foundation supporters, we were honored to present another 38 Littmann stethoscopes to Salem State University accelerated nursing students last week in memory of Mary.

Mary believed deeply in the power of caring for others, and through moments like these, her legacy continues in the hands of future nurses who will one day comfort, advocate for, and heal countless patients.

Our mission is built on community — on every donor, volunteer, attendee, supporter, and believer who chooses to invest in the future of nursing alongside us.

This year marked our largest and most competitive application pool yet, and we continue to be inspired by the compassion, determination, and heart this next generation of caregivers brings to the nursing profession. Thank you Devin Smallwood for sharing your journey and dedication to nursing ✨

Devin, of Wakefield, MA, was a recipient of the Mary Margaret Trant Nursing Scholarship and gained her nursing degree at Salem State University 🩺 🎓

A graduate of Wakefield High School, Devin has already gained valuable hands-on healthcare experience as a Patient Care Coordinator Intern at Woburn Pediatric Associates. Through both her academic and professional experiences, she has demonstrated the qualities that make exceptional nurses—compassion, resilience, teamwork, and the ability to remain calm in times of crisis.

Faculty from Salem State University have recognized Devin’s empathetic approach to patient care, noting her ability to work independently while also thriving as part of a healthcare team. Her passion for helping others and commitment to providing compassionate care will undoubtedly make her an outstanding addition to the nursing profession.

We are always finding meaningful ways to support nurses. One of those ways is through our care packages. Each package is thoughtfully put together to show appreciation and encouragement for nurses.

In this special case, employees at Bank of America created handwritten notes to accompany each of the packages. Here’s an example of that message 💗

Officially Nurses Week! 💗

Kicking off the week with a special shoutout to our 2025 MMT Scholarship winners—the future of nursing is in their hands.

Each year, we give aspiring nurses the opportunity to apply for a scholarship through the MMTrant Foundation. In addition, recipients are gifted high-quality stethoscopes to support them as they begin their clinical journeys—a meaningful and practical welcome into the profession.

Scholarships and stethoscopes are presented at our annual Co****le Tournament, happening this year on:
June 18th | 5:00–9:30 PM | Lynnfield MarketStreet

This event plays a huge role in helping us raise funds to continue supporting the nursing community. At MMTrant Foundation, we’re committed to being a strong support system for current and future nurses.
