Your career starts here! WorkStartYES is a joint partnership between the San Joaquin County Office of Education and San Joaquin County WorkNet.

Since 2002, WorkStartYES has provided Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (formerly Workforce Investment Act) services to eligible youth ages 16-24* throughout San Joaquin County. WorkStartYES assists eligible* young people who face significant barriers by providing resources and support to overcome barriers and transition to self-sufficient adulthood. We are committed to providing high-quali

ty services for all youth and young adults, beginning with career exploration and guidance, continued support for educational attainment, opportunities for skills training in in-demand industries and occupations, and culminating with a good job along a career pathway, enrollment in post-secondary education, advanced training, a registered apprenticeship, or the military. Our ultimate goal is to prepare the young people of San Joaquin County for the workforce by offering education, empowerment, and employment services under the 14 Elements of Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act program.

*At this time, WorkStartYES is contracted to serve 75% out-of-school youth and 25% in-school youth.
