God is still opening doors.

This week, Pastor Juan Carlos Gonzales was able to begin serving at the Yellowstone County Detention Facility in Billings, Montana. After his first visit, he shared:

“Gracias a Dios ya nos abrió la puerta.”

He was able to hold two sessions and minister to the souls.

We thank Bishop Francisco Quezada for his support of both the prison ministry and the church. This is how the work grows: one open door, one willing servant, one soul at a time.

We encourage more AAOFCJ ministers and members to prayerfully consider volunteering in jails, prisons, hospitals, and other institutions.

The church does not stop at the gate.

Stories like this remind people that no one is beyond redemption. In a place often associated with regret, brokenness, and second chances, hundreds of inmates reportedly gathered to worship, pray, and publicly commit their lives to Christ during a large prison revival in Oklahoma.

For many participants, the event was about far more than a moment of emotion. It represented a decision to leave behind old ways, seek forgiveness, and embrace a new direction for the future. While prison walls can restrict freedom physically, many testified that faith gave them a sense of hope and inner freedom they had never experienced before.

Moments like these continue to inspire Christians around the world because they highlight a belief at the heart of the Gospel: a person's past does not have to define their future. Transformation can happen anywhere, even in the most unlikely places.

Whether inside prison walls or outside them, countless people are searching for purpose, healing, and a fresh start. Stories of changed lives serve as a reminder that hope can still be found when everything else seems lost.
