Dear Friends, Supporters, and Community Members,
On behalf of the Fusion Christian Youth Center Board, we want to thank you for the years of prayer, partnership, and support you’ve given since our founding in 2009. Many of you know the heart behind Fusion: to create a safe, fun, and faith-filled space for young people in our community. Together, we were able to purchase and renovate a facility that served as a hub for youth outreach and ministry for over a decade.
As with many ministries, the pandemic brought unforeseen challenges. Since then, we've faced rising costs in insurance and utilities, decreasing volunteer capacity, and a decline in youth attendance. Over the past two years, our board has met faithfully in prayer and discussion as we sought the best path forward.
After much discernment, we have made the difficult but faithful decision to deed the Fusion building back to Solutions North Bank. However, this is not the end of Fusion—it is a return to our roots.
As we transition out of the building, we are keeping a number of our items and resources for future pop-up ministry opportunities. However, there are many furnishings and supplies we no longer need. These items are being made available to the community for a donation to Fusion. All proceeds will go directly back into Fusion’s ministry fund as we rebuild our treasury and prepare for our next chapter. If you'd like to make a direct donation or inquire about available items, please reach out to Misty Higdon or Stacey Green.
We will retain our 501(c)(3) nonprofit status and continue as Fusion Christian Youth Center, reimagining what youth ministry can look like in this season. Instead of operating a full-time facility, we are embracing a pop-up ministry model—partnering with churches, schools, and community spaces to host events, studies, activities, and service projects that reflect our original mission:
"Fusion – a youth center 'fused' to give the youth of the Stockton area a recreational and educational Christian environment that is safe and fun, allowing them to build character and leadership skills based on Christian values.”
We believe this flexible approach will allow us to meet young people where they are—physically, emotionally, and spiritually—without the burden of maintaining a fixed location.
In the coming weeks, we’ll be reaching out with ways your church or organization can partner with us in this next chapter: through prayer, volunteer support, shared spaces, and event collaboration. We are eager to join hands across denominations and generations to reach youth with the love of Christ.
Thank you for believing in Fusion, and in the next generation. We are excited for what’s ahead.
With gratitude and hope,
Fusion Christian Youth Center Board
