The California News Publishers Association has honored Stocktonia with five awards, including a first place prize for public service journalism, in its annual California Journalism Awards.

The contest, which recognizes reporting from news outlets of all sizes across the state, also gave Stocktonia top honors in its division for investigative reporting, in-depth reporting and coverage of local government and immigration.

2026 is in the books!

Thank you to all of our supporters for your gifts. Without you, we couldn't continue doing the work to support the authors, artists, and creatives in San Joaquin County.

We center our work on making arts and literacy accessible to everyone. With your continued support, we can keep reading, writing, and creating with every part of our community.

Today is 209Gives, a countywide day of giving supporting local nonprofits across San Joaquin County, and it runs until 11:59 PM tonight (PST).

Many of these organizations are doing work quietly behind the scenes every day: supporting youth programs, arts education, food access, housing, animal rescue, community events, advocacy, and care for people throughout our region. Small nonprofits especially rely on community support to continue growing and serving others.

If there is an organization you care about, today is a great day to support them, even if it’s a small amount. Donations truly add up and make a difference locally.
