Our hearts are full. Tony’s Pizza continues to show incredible support for Lodi Animal Services and the dogs who deserve a fresh start. All adoption fees for the dogs on the flyers have been waived.

These pups are getting a real second chance, and you can help by sharing their stories, stopping by Tony’s for a slice, and reminding our community what compassion looks like. Lunch, dinner, game night, or a quick meeting — Tony’s Pizza is the place to be.

Let’s get these sweet dogs home.

Lodi Animal Services Foundation is excited to partner with Tony’s Pizzeria as they celebrate 50 incredible years of serving our community!

On Saturday, August 8, from 12:00 PM–3:00 PM, come meet some amazing, adoptable dogs from Lodi Animal Services who are looking for loving forever homes. Every adoption changes a life—and you just might meet your new best friend!

✨Introducing 10 DAYS of our VIPs (Very Important Pups)! ✨

Our VIPs are wonderful pets that have been overlooked at the shelter. Lodi Animal Services Foundation is covering their adoption fees to help get them into a home!

Day 10: 🚨 ALERT: ELIGIBLE BACHELOR SEEKING IMMEDIATE COUCH FOR GENTLEMAN HIPPO BUSINESS! 🚨

What is a House Hippo, you may ask? They are a very rare, very special type of dog that you can’t help but immediately snuggle. Their favorite hobbies include long naps on the couch, attempting to fit their entire 70-pound, low-rider bodice into your lap, and meandering around the house perpetually smiling and spreading pure joy.

This most special House Hippo is named Johnny- and he is a literal block of sunshine! This handsome gentleman has a soft, deeply sweet demeanor. He doesn't demand the spotlight; he is just genuinely, thoroughly happy to be included in whatever the family is doing.

Johnny is an easygoing guy who appreciates the finer, slower things in life (like synchronized napping). He enjoys the company of other dogs, mostly meandering around the yard like an awkward newbie, thanking everyone for including him until he gets tired and flops over for belly rubs.

Our "VIPs" may not be the flashiest in the building, or have the best kennel presence, but they are amazing dogs just waiting for someone to see them and say YES!!

PUPDATE: 🎉OUR FIRST VIP HAS BEEN ADOPTED!! 🎉 Congrats Nugget!!

Day 8: NUGGET!! This young terrier mix looks at the world with absolute wonder and treats every single human he meets like a long-lost best friend. He’s a happy little explorer looking for a family to share his grand adventures with- whether that’s a hike on a sunny trail or just exploring every inch of the backyard.

His heart is big and his spirit is playful, he would enjoy a home with a respectful resident dog to show him the ropes, and kids to guide into mischief!

If you have room in your heart for a sweet, fun-loving boy who will greet you every day like you hung the moon, Nugget is ready to be your ultimate companion.

Day 7: ELLIE!! A beautiful, social butterfly who is ready to get this show on the road!! Out in the yard, she’s an absolute dream- deeply affectionate with people and a total party girl with other dogs- she's the silly and flirty type that brings other dogs out of their shell! Ellie has become very vocal in her run, but it’s just her way of saying, "Hey! Look at me! Let's get outta here!" The shelter is hard on a social girl, and she’s just exhausted from watching everyone else get chosen. If you can look past the barrier frustration, you'll find a stunning, loving companion ready to start her new life with you.

She thrives in the company of other playful dogs, using her canine friends as a guide and a source of pure joy. Coconut is looking for a special kind of human: someone with a gentle hand, a patient heart, and a willingness to learn a new way of communicating. Adopting a deaf dog is one of the most rewarding partnerships you can experience, built entirely on deep trust and visual bonds. If you are ready to learn, grow, and navigate the world hand-in-hand (or hand-to-paw) with an incredibly sweet soul, Coconut is ready to show you just how loud her love can be!
