Many of you know how much Elly Sienkiewicz meant to the study of Baltimore Album quilts. Elly inspired generations of quiltmakers and scholars through her teaching, research, encouragement, and boundless enthusiasm for the art of quilting. She opened doors for so many of us and helped create a community built on sharing knowledge and creativity.
In 2023, Elly was inducted into the Quilters Hall of Fame — a fitting recognition for a woman whose influence on the quilting world cannot be overstated.
In honor of Elly’s life and legacy, I would like to encourage my friends and followers to consider making a small donation to the Quilters Hall of Fame in Elly’s name. The Hall preserves the stories and contributions of the people who shaped quilt history, ensuring that future generations continue to learn from and be inspired by them.
