On the morning hours of 5/3/26, our unit’s retired K9 Lazlo passed away. Lazlo was 12 yrs old, and his medical condition came very fast. His handler Ofc. Ross and family were not prepared for such a loss.

Lazlo worked the streets of Stockton from 2015-2023. Lazlo worked patrol and was a certified SWAT K9. Lazlo had 45 apprehensions and several surrenders. Lazlo loved to work and enjoyed interacting with others. Lazlo had enjoyed the last three years, with his family. All that knew Lazlo are left with great memories of him, and he will be truly missed.

We had a special K9 come to visit us at training today. This is Axel and his human is our Sgt. Boone. Axel retired from the unit in April 2022. Axel helped keep the city safe, and had many placements in K9 trials. It's always good to see our retired K9s.

On 02/16/26 in the 200 block of E. Arcade, Officers responded to a report of shots fired. Officers located the suspect, and he was taken into custody. A vehicle related to the incident, was located in the area. Ofc. Alonso's K9 Primo alerted on the vehicle. A search of the vehicle revealed 2 lbs of Methamphetamine, 2 illegal fi****ms, 15 ounces of He**in, and ammunition. Great job!!!
