725 & Center is the ONLY live “Countdown Talent Show” in Northern California that highlights different cities and communities best local talent. 725 & Center was created by Empowering Young Voices, Inc. Our show is designed to feature 10 performances--once a month--in today’s most popular forms of music/entertainment. The audience’s ratings will determine which artists mo

ve up and down the countdown! In between performances, 725 & Center’s youth hosts hold formal interviews with local business owners, teachers, public officials, and other noteworthy youth who fit the educational theme 725 & Center creates for each monthly show. Every episode features a LIVE DJ and an "AFTER PARTY" following the show! Each episode is filmed, edited, and uploaded to YOUTUBE to be seen by viewers across the world-wide web.

725 & Center is based off of the popular BET Show "106 & Park." However, instead of featuring music videos--we feature LIVE PERFORMANCES from local artists! We have 10 local artists--bands, poets, rappers, musicians, comedians, and more--perform 5-8 min.* of material before our special guest “Headliner” for the evening. (*Bands perform for 15 min. max)

ANY ARTIST LOOKING TO PERFORM ON 725 & CENTER MUST FIRST AUDITION in person (at an indicated location) or submit their press kit/material sample via email to: [email protected]

HOW DOES THE 725 & CENTER "RATING SYSTEM" WORK? On 725 & Center, each audience member has a small voting ballot they fill out after each performance. These voting ballots are used to RATE each artist’s performance. (The ballots contain a scale from 1-10 with each artist's name on it.) At the end of all the performances, the ballot sheets are collected and recorded. Then our camera crew will edit and upload each recorded performance to YOUTUBE. After EACH performance is uploaded to YOUTUBE, we notify the artists that their performance is UPLOADED and allow 2 days for the artist to promote their YOUTUBE video to the public. The artist's YOUTUBE VIEWS also help their SCORE. After all these aspects are recorded, our staff will be able to create the
TOP 5 COUNTDOWN. The audience finds out who made the top spots on the COUNTDOWN on the next 725 & Center episode. (Next month) The performances that receive the highest ratings will fill the Top 5 spots (5,4,3,2,1--in the order of who received the most votes.) And 5 NEW acts will be brought in to fill the lower spots. (10,9,8,7,6) The audience will then watch the new entries perform, as well as the remaining Top 5, and rate them to continue to bring about change in the countdown. We feel by utilizing this strategy, we can offer opportunities to introduce/"break" talented local artists into the community. Our goal is to feature at least one special guest or headliner on each episode with mass appeal for our target audience*. (*High School & College Students.)

**BENEFITS of this SHOW**
This show was created to provide local artists a genuine and professional outlet to: consistently practice their craft, network with music promoters/agents, develop stronger performing art skills, and expose themselves to audiences that can give them REAL feedback on their ability.

**The Artist who holds the Number #1 Spot on the Countdown for 3 months will receive $100, AND ONE OF THE FOLLOWING: 1. A free/discount photo shoot OR 2. A discount on studio time from one of the independent recording companies 725 & Center works with. In addition to the previously mentioned items, the artist will also receive The "3rd Times A Charm" Award. 725 & Center's exclusive plaque/trophy stating that they held the #1 spot on the countdown for 3 consecutive months. After they achieve this award, they will be "retired" from the countdown for 2 months, after this 2 month period--they can RE-APPLY to perform on 725 & Center. (In which they will NOT need to audition.) Pretty Cool, huh? Welcome to 725 & Center...The ONLY Live Countdown Show in Northern California!
