Recently, we were able to take 12 of our kids on a trip to San Francisco to visit the Exploratorium, an amazing science museum. The kids had a absolute blast! They were so excited to interact with all the hands-on exhibits and explore the city. With so many engaging displays, everyone walked away with a different favorite part of the day. We would all love to go back again soon! We want to send a HUGE thank you to The Junior League of San Joaquin County for making this trip possible!

Surrounded by the pine forest, the kids spent the daylight hours playing volleyball, skipping stones, and scouring the woods to see who could find the biggest pinecones. When it was time to build a fire, everyone pitched in to gather sticks and branches.

The evenings brought the whole group together around the campfire for s'mores and dancing. As the night quieted down, we spent time looking up at the sky, pointing out passing satellites and watching for shooting stars.

Day 2 at Lassen was unforgettable! We ventured all the way through the park, eventually reaching Lake Helen. The water was absolutely beautiful and crystal clear and also completely freezing!

The real highlight was the snow. For some of the kids, this was their first time ever seeing or playing in it. It takes real courage to step outside of what you know and try things that feel new and intimidating, and they were so incredibly brave. We all had an amazing time exploring and growing together.

Our kids are going to camp again and they are so thrilled! These are pics from last year and we can't wait to post the new ones once we're back. Our beloved Liz is headed back to Kentucky 🥹 She has been such a huge help at The Center doing stem projects and crafts with the kids, helping lead our Kentucky team, loving on the kids, cleaning, organizing, getting up early to cook for 2nd Saturdays, and so much more. On top of everything else she's one of our favorite people to be around so she will be very very missed. Her light shines so brightly wherever she goes. We wish her all the best in her next steps.
That all being said, she will leave very big shoes to be filled. So if you'd like to help us at The Center, come volunteer!
