What an amazing afternoon! 🌮💛 We are completely blown away by the turnout at our Taco 'bout The Center fundraiser.

The grand total is in:
Over 200 attendees
Around $5,000 raised for The Center!

We had so much fun sharing yummy tacos and desserts with our community. But more importantly, we are overflowing with gratitude.

To our business sponsors, our hardworking volunteers, the folks who donated gift baskets and treats, and the amazing setup/tear-down crew: THANK YOU. We couldn't do this work without your stewardship and support. This event wouldn't have been possible otherwise!

Here’s a bit of what we’ve been up to lately at The Center, with lots more to come soon!

We kicked things off with an Egg Drop Competition using some leftover eggs. The kids were given a mix of supplies and challenged to build protective cases. They got so incredibly creative with their designs, and we actually had several eggs survive being tossed right out of our second-story window!

They loved the engineering challenge so much that we followed it up a few weeks later with a Bridge Building Challenge.

There is nothing quite like combining learning with play. Watching these kids collaborate, problem-solve, and work together to figure out how to do new things is exactly why we love what we do here.

We can't wait to share what they engineer next!

Last week at The Center was full of creativity, fun, and meaningful conversations.

From building an entire Magna-Tile community to intense games of Pit and Tapple, there was plenty of laughter and teamwork. We wrapped up the week with beach day and some great conversations in Bible Club and small groups about rest and being a good friend.

Thank you to everyone who helps make weeks like this possible.

One more request from Youth Council was chip salad. So we made that happen too.

It may seem like a small thing, but when students see that their feedback leads to action, it changes how they see themselves. They learn that their voice carries weight. They learn that they matter.

At The Center, we aren't just running programs. We are building a culture where students help shape the environment around them.

None of this happens without a community standing behind it. Thank you to those who give, volunteer, and pray for this work. You are helping create a place where young people are heard and valued every single day.

Last month at Youth Council, we asked our students what they wanted more of at The Center.

Their answers? Pizza, more movie days, dodgeball, and plenty of other ideas.

So last week, we made it happen.

Because this is not just our space. It's their space.

We want our students to know their voices matter here. When they speak, we listen. When they share ideas, we take them seriously. Watching them light up when they saw their ideas come to life was the best part.

Moments like this do more than create fun memories. They build trust, confidence, and leadership in young people who deserve to be heard.

If you believe in creating spaces where kids are valued and empowered, thank you for being part of what makes this possible. Your support helps turn their ideas into reality.

We had an absolute blast at the Stockton Kings game!

It was the mascot’s birthday, so the celebration included face painting, games, balloons, and so much fun for our kids! They even got an autograph and a picture with one of the players, moments they will not forget anytime soon.

To top it off, the game went into overtime and the Kings pulled out the win!

We are so thankful to the Stockton Kings for donating tickets and making this experience possible! And to everyone who supports The Center, thank you! Because of you, our kids get opportunities and experiences that expand their world beyond what they see every day.

These moments matter more than you know!
