It's October, and everywhere we look, our culture seems fascinated with the supernatural. But here's a question worth asking: Where are we turning for wisdom, guidance, protection, and power?

In this week's episode of the Everyday Jesus Podcast, we're opening Scripture to explore what the Bible says about divination, witchcraft, sorcery, mediums, astrology, and the reality of spiritual counterfeits.

We'll look at Daniel's unwavering faithfulness in Babylon, the believers in Ephesus who walked away from their former practices, and Jesus' authority over every other power.

Here's what I want you to remember: Just because something appears spiritual doesn't mean it's holy. And we don't need to search for what we lack outside of Jesus when He is our source of truth, freedom, and life.

The goal isn't to become experts in darkness. The goal is to know the Light.

Jesus is the Truth. Jesus is the Word made flesh. And God's Word is truth.
Scripture isn't simply a collection of stories, rules, or inspirational verses. It continually points us to Jesus—and it has the power to transform the way we live.

25 years later, I still remember exactly where I was and what I was doing when the world seemed to stop.

Like so many of you, I remember watching in disbelief as September 11, 2001 unfolded. Some moments leave a mark that time simply cannot erase.

Today, 25 years later, we remember. 🇺🇸

We remember the lives lost.
We remember the heroes who ran toward danger.
We remember the families forever changed.
And we remember a nation brought to its knees.

May we not only remember today—may we pray.

Pray for those who still carry the weight of that day. Pray for our first responders and military. Pray for our nation. And pray that in an uncertain world, hearts would turn to Jesus—the One who remains our unshakable hope.

“God is our refuge and strength, a helper who is always found in times of trouble.” — Psalm 46:1

25 years later, we still remember. We still honor. We still pray. 🇺🇸
