It’s time to talk about AI.

The world has become an echo chamber of social media posturing and headlines that don’t mind a lack of substance. Tools are being rolled out that are changing the world, but the conversation is being set by people at the top, not the community.

We’ve heard lots of concerns about AI Posters, AI copy writing, AI websites, AI code enforcement, AI research, data centers, privacy. We’ve also heard lots of excitement about accessibility, learning tools, shortening workflow time costs, and empowered individuals and organizations.

Large language models are language guessing tools, this profound moment of evening playing fields has caused a great deal of change, and we are told so much more than we get to ask. When a computer is thinking for you, do you even take the time to think??

Let’s discuss the actual tools being used here, how they impact industries and individuals, and what it even means to use emergent technologies responsibly.

This will not be the only open forum about this topic and related discussions, stay tuned for more dates, times, and locations!
