Mail Voting Remains Safe—Important Information for Our Branches

NAACP Branch Presidents, Leaders & Members

I am sharing the message from the NAACP Office of General Counsel regarding the Supreme Court’s August 24 ruling concerning mail-in ballots.

The most important message is clear: mail voting remains safe, and this ruling does not restrict your ability to cast a mail ballot. The Supreme Court’s decision was procedural and did not determine whether the administration has the legal authority to restrict mail-in voting. A separate nationwide injunction remains in effect, preventing the administration from moving forward with these unlawful restrictions.

The NAACP continues fighting efforts to confuse voters, discourage participation, and restrict access to the ballot.

Please share this information widely throughout your branch, membership, and community. Encourage everyone to remain focused, verify election information through trusted sources, and make a plan to vote.

Stay focused. Stay strong. Stay in the fight. And vote.

In service,

DR. RICK L. CALLENDER, ESQ
CA/HI State Conference NAACP
President
