Our newest pathway comes with a soundtrack. 🎵

Verse & Voice is a six-lesson poetry series for grades 6–8, built with our partners at Poetry Rocks Schools. Every lesson pairs a classic poem with an original song and music video, then asks students the question at the heart of the media-comparison standards: what changes when you hear a text instead of reading it on the page?

Blake, Kooser, Hughes, Millay, Thoreau, and Twain … plus a teacher slide deck and student handouts for every lesson. Grab-and-go, aligned to 6th–8th grade standards, and always free at blackwingfoundation.org. ✏️

✏️ Three tools. Four brand-new lettering styles.

Creative Styles is here — the newest pathway in the Pathways to Creativity: Lettering Series. Students start with their own handwriting and transform it into four expressive styles: Twinkle, Spooky, Zombie Hand, and Wacky Western, then put it all together in a holiday decoration project.

All you need is a pencil and a couple of markers. Heather teaches every lesson on video, and one printable handout covers the whole pathway. Grades 3+, no login, always free.

It’s National Arts in Education Week 🎉 and we’ve got something new to celebrate it with...

Blackwing Foundation’s new Seasonal Art Pathway just launched! One piece of art, taught across every medium, so it works no matter what your classroom has on hand ✏️

First up is Fall... a swirling, colorful tree lesson taught by Kim Bavington of Art Classes for Kids. Swipe through to see it come together in colored pencil, pastel, and watercolor, then pick whichever one fits your students best.
