It’s that time of the semester! Kickstart your semester with fun and enriching activities at our SAl recruitment events. Please swipe and also read the descriptions below for more information about each event.

Monday 1/20 - Letters Against Isolation
1-2:30pm, Buck 100
Write letters of friendship and support for people that are currently isolated (they may be elderly in retirement homes, in hospice care or in a long-term hospital stay, or neurodivergent individuals that are looking for a pen pal). How it works: names and information/the person’s letter requests are provided through the nonprofit databases:
“Letters for the Elderly” and “Letters Against Isolation”. Once you have chosen a recipient, you can write them an email or record them a brief message. Since we are musical, you may record them a short song if you feel like that fits their request.
Please bring a personal digital device to this event (phone, laptop, or tablet) for letter-writing.

Thursday 1/23 - Cozy Night in the Woods
7:30-9pm, Buck 100
Show up in your comfiest clothes for an cozy indoor event inspired by camping and fireside lodge activities. Learn to identify constellations, tell spooky stories with SAI siblings through Madlibs, and play games! Enjoy cozy snacks like hot chocolate, tea, microwave smores, and popcorn.

Saturday 1/25 - Royal Tea Party
1-3pm, Regents Room
Inspired by princess parties of youth: wear your favorite semi-formal or formal outfit that makes you feel like royalty to our tea party. Enjoy hot drinks, snacks, make flower crowns, and color! There will be karaoke (participation optional)!

Tuesday 1/28 - Trivia Night
7:30-9pm, Buck 100
Join SAI for fun trivia games (covering various musical and non-musical subjects) using Jackbox and Kahoot! There will be friendly competition and snacks :)

Happy New Year’s Eve! As 2024 comes to a close, let’s take a moment to spotlight our Fall ‘24 executive board officers.

We asked them what brings them pride about our chapter this past semester. Here’s what they said:
• getting to reconnect with alumni
• fun, comfortable and welcoming environment

Before the month ends, we want to give a big THANK YOU to our lovely seniors. The hard work you all put in, the amount of dedication you have for our chapter and your sisters, and the intensity of love you have for music is what fills our chapter with joy and what brings us together.

You have gone through the Initiation Ceremony a while back, and we celebrated your Senior Commitment Ceremony earlier this month. Thank you for staying throughout it all and being amazing role models. We are going to miss you and we are sending love with every step you take.
