Heroes alert:
We would like to take this time to recognize individuals who went above and beyond during the Sacramento Hmong New Year.
Correctional Sgt. J. Lee and Correctional Officer T. Thao were at the New Year, representing the CDCR recruitment booth. They were alerted by a young female who stated someone needed help. Without hesitation, they both ran over and noticed it was an elderly female who was having a medical emergency. Sgt. Lee and Officer Thao began CPR on the elderly female for over 20 minutes while waiting for AMR to arrive. The elderly female was transported to the hospital and is now recovering. We pray for a full recovery.
When called upon, Sgt. Lee and Officer Thao did not hesitate to assist and used their training to save lives.
These two are true heroes. They will be running the CDCR recruitment booth at the Merced Hmong New Year, so please go up to them and Thank them for their heroic action.
