June 24, 2026 ~ Verse of The Day: Isaiah 12:2

BEHOLD! Look! Take note! Think about and contemplate this glorious truth: "God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; For the LORD GOD is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation." God, the Lord Who covers Himself with light and rides upon the wings of the wind is my strength, my song, and my Savior.
Behold, the everlasting God Who declared: I AM that I AM, is the author, alpha, beginning, and source of my salvation, and He is also the finisher, the omega, the end, and the finality of my life. There is no created thing in heaven above or in the earth beneath that can claim the credentials of Jehovah my God, so how can I fear? What can man, or devil do to me when the Lord God has become my eternal security?
This is the glorious song of ecstatic praise and great rejoicing that Israel will sing in harmonic unison in that future day, when the saved remnant of God's chosen people will eat of the fruit of the land of Israel in peace and security. This is the psalm of thanksgiving and joy that will be sung in the streets of Jerusalem when their Messiah-King returns from heaven to sit on the throne of His father David: "For Judah will be saved; Israel will dwell securely, and they will herald the Lord Jesus Christ as, 'The LORD our righteousness.'"
But this has already become a hymn of unparalleled rejoicing for generations of Christians. This has become part of that never-ending hymn of praise that is sung by all who have been saved by grace, through faith in His sacrificial death and glorious Resurrection. We who have been born again can already say with certainty: "The Lord my God is Jesus Christ and He is the Lord my righteousness."
We can in spirit and in truth cry out and say: "I have trusted Him, and I am not afraid - for nothing can separate me from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus." We can already herald our heavenly Bridegroom as our God and Savior. He is the Lord Jehovah and we can say with full assurance: "He is MY Strength and MY Song, and He became MY Redeemer at Calvary."
The worth of the gift is intensified by the worthiness of the Giver, and the immeasurable value and inestimable blessing of salvation to the unworthy sinner is without comparison in both the visible world and the invisible universe. It is beyond human comprehension that the Lord has become my salvation through the sacrifice of His own life on the cross of Calvary.
Knowing that my salvation is secure in His worthy hands, every facet that touches my life is equally under the protection of His mighty power, for He has become the foundational bedrock upon which my confidence rests and He is the ever-flowing fountain of living strength that infills my heart and overspills into songs of worship and shouts of praise to His wonderful name.
A day is coming when the Nation of Israel will stand up with the Church of Christ and together with saints of old and those yet to be born, will sing a harmonious chorus, in unity, in spirit and in truth: "Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; For the LORD GOD is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation."

My Prayer
Thank You, Lord, for my wonderful salvation. Praise the Lord O my soul, for You are a great and mighty God. As I go into the world today as Your representative, give me increased boldness to speak the name of Jesus. May my life reflect Your grace and goodness, to Your praise and glory. In Jesus’ name I pray, AMEN.

June 23, 2026 ~ Verse of The Day: Isaiah 11:11

Isaiah wrote about the time when the cruel king of Assyria would march against the northern kingdom of Israel and carry God's people away into captivity. Similarly, he talked of the time when the southern kingdom of Judah would be enslaved by the great Babylonian king, Nebuchadnezzar, and both events are recorded in the annals of history. However, in chapters 11 and 12, Isaiah writes of the coming Millennial kingdom of Christ and a second gathering of His people back to their promised homeland, from which they will never again be scattered.
Isaiah prophesied centuries before the first two dispersions into Assyria and Babylon, and both events are fully recorded in holy Scripture, and yet, in chapter 11 we are given the most spectacular glimpse into the Messiah's Millennial kingdom, which will only become a reality on earth at Christ's Second Advent.
This passage gives a detailed description of the Messiah; His Person and lineage, His equity and righteousness, His goodness and grace, His wisdom and understanding, His counsel and might, His faithfulness and reverential fear of the Lord.
It is as Isaiah details the characteristics of Christ's coming earthly rule, that we realize this passage can only be referring to His future kingdom on earth, for we discover that the cow and bear will graze together in the same field, the lion shall eat straw like an ox, the nursing child shall frolic on a cobra's den, and the earth will be filled with the glory of God as the waters cover the sea.
It is during that same future 'day' that we discover, for a second time in Israel's history, that the Lord will regather the remnant of His dispersed people back to their promised homeland. The first time he brought them back from Babylon captivity, but this time He will gather them from the four corners of the earth: "It shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again, a second time, to recover the remnant of His people."
The books of Ezra and Nehemiah detail events that occurred the first time God brought them back to their homeland to rebuild the city and the sanctuary in Jerusalem, following their captivity in Babylon. However, Isaiah was inspired to write that God would bring His people back to the land of Israel a second time: "The Lord will set his hand once more, a second time, to recover the remnant of His people."
The first time, a captive remnant from Judah returned from one location, Babylon, but in this future event we discover: "The remnant of God's people, who are still alive, will return from Assyria, Egypt, Pathros, Cush, Elam, Shinar, Hamath and from the islands of the sea."
God has not finished with His people, Israel, even though they have been set aside during this Church age. The promised kingdom that Christ came to set up at His First Coming has simply been postponed, until Christ returns in power of great glory at the end of the coming Tribulation, to set up His kingdom on earth. It is at that time: "The Lord shall set his hand again, a second time to recover the remnant of His people," (those who have survived the terrible time of Jacob's Trouble).
Although some Jews returned to Israel in 1948, they returned in unbelief. Even though the land of Israel is inhabited by Jews from around the world, there are many Jews that remain in Assyria, Egypt, Pathros, Cush, Elam, Shinar, Hamath, and the islands across the sea, such as England, America, Australia, Japan, and Korea.
Some of God's people may have returned to their homeland as the dead, dry, lifeless bones described in Ezekiel 37, but they have not been born-anew by the 'in-breathing' of eternal life from the Holy Spirit, which ONLY comes from faith in Jesus, their Messiah and King.

Let us pray for the salvation of the people of Israel who continue to remain dead in their sins, and let us praise God that the time is coming when the blindness of their eyes, the resistant deafness of their ears, and the hardness of their hearts will be softened. The day is coming when life is breathed into the 'dead bones' of Israel, and they will look on Him Whom they pierced, and acknowledge Jesus as Lord, King of Israel, and Governor of the whole earth.

My Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for the wonderful prophecies of Isaiah and the hope we all have in Christ. Thank You that the day is coming when Your people will be fully and finally regathered back to the land You promised to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and their seed forever. Foster in their hearts a desire to know the truth. Open the Scriptures to their understanding, that they may see Jesus in the books of Moses, the prophetic writings of Your holy prophets, and the Messianic Psalms of David. I pray for the day when the nation will acknowledge Jesus as Lord and all Israel shall be saved. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.

June 22, 2026 ~ Verse of The Day: Isaiah 9:2

Isaiah was called to prophesy of the great Deliverer Who would save His people from their sins. The people of Israel were steeped in apostasy and walking in darkness and gloom, but Isaiah spoke of a coming Messiah, Who would not only bring light with Him, but would be the Light of lights. He would be the Light of the world to the people who walked in darkness. He would give light to every man coming into the world.
Isaiah's prophecies covered the reign of many kings, but the horizons of his glorious vision of Light stretched into the far distant future and foretold of the arrival of the Messiah in the land of Israel. The Light of which Isaiah spoke was to shine even more brightly. It was to shine beyond the blessed inhabitants of Galilee, who would be the first to witness Incarnate Light walking through their land.
The Light of which Isaiah prophesied was to be so brilliant that it was to embrace every man, woman, and child, born into this world. It was to be a Light that extended back to a time before the worlds were made, and it was to be a glittering Light that reached forward into the farthest extremities and widest dimensions of the eternal ages to come. It was to be a Light that would blaze its illuminating rays throughout this shrouded world, and the dark blackness that envelops the world would never overcome it.
The world in general, and Israel in particular, lived in a state of deep darkness. The mind of man was shackled in sin, enchained in the prison-bars of unbelief, and blinded by gross ignorance. The sad birth-right of all humanity was death's gaping mouth, followed by judgement: "It is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment."
Throughout life, every-man gropes pathetically to become 'master of his own destiny'. Each soul seeks some hidden wisdom or spiritual illumination that would bring in its wake light and life, salvation and peace, fulfilment, love, and hope. But there is none to be found outside the Person of the Lord Jesus and His sacrificial work on the Cross, yet Satan spins his wicked web of deceit to entrap deluded 'seekers'.
God has set out His unique way of life and salvation, peace, fulfilment, love, and hope, in His Word of Truth. For God sent the Incarnate Light into the world to enlighten those who walk in the black gloom of death's dark shadow.
None other than God could have loved fallen humanity so deeply as to send His only begotten Son to become that true, life-giving LIGHT to all who will believe on His name. No other but God is good enough to pay that price of sin, by becoming the perfect sin-sacrifice. Christ alone could unlock the gates of heaven to those who believe on His name.
No surprise that His Name is called Wonderful Counsellor, for His deep love fills angels and men with awe-struck admiration, and His wise counsel generates stunned amazement. Who but the Mighty God of love and justice, could have imagined that the shame and humiliation of the Cross would result in the shattering forever of hell's deep darkness and it's terrifying eternal damnation.
It was the Everlasting Father Who sent the Eternal Son to be the true LIGHT. He came to dissipate the darkness of sin and remove condemnation and death for all who will TRUST in His name. Isaiah penned the life-changing words that have brought such comfort and hope to a world in darkness and distress: "The people that walk about in darkness see a great light. They who dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them a light shines."
It was Israel who were walking in darkness when the Light came into the world, specifically, the people living in the region of Zebulun and Naphtali who were blinded to the truth. As we read in the Gospel of Matthew: "Jesus moved to Capernaum to fulfil that which was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, by way of the sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles. The people who were sitting in darkness saw a great light, and those who were sitting in the land and in the shadow of death, upon them a light dawned."

Jesus came to the lost sheep of the House of Israel as their Messiah and King. But He also came as the sin-substitute for the whole world, for you and for me. He came as the Light of the world, the life-giving Light of men, the bright Light that shines in the darkness. Jesus came as the true Light Who came into the world to enlighten every man: "So that all who believe in Me will not remain in darkness."

My Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for sending the light of the glorious gospel of grace into my life, and for shining the light of Christ into my heart. Open my eyes more and more to see the Lord Jesus for Who He truly is. Help me to see more clearly what He has achieved in my life. To Him be all praise and glory forever. In the name of Jesus I pray, AMEN.

June 20, 2026 ~ Verse of The Day: Isaiah 7:14

Israel's apostacy had to be punished, and the prophets gave stern warnings of impending judgement with a call to national repentance, but God in His grace promised to save a small remnant, although the nation would have to pass through an extended period of fire and water and be dispersed among the nations.
God sent a message of hope to Israel despite their persistent unbelief and blasphemous idolatry: "The Lord Himself would give them a sign," which would authenticate the arrival of His anointed Savior, the Seed of the woman, the Messiah of Israel, and royal descendent of the great king David. And He would save His people from their sins. What a glorious pronouncement was made on that day.
A virgin would conceive and give birth to their Savior Who would be called Immanuel, God with us, God incarnate. The immortal, invisible, eternal God was to be born into the world as a tiny baby and He would save His people, Israel, from their sins. And through Him, all the families of the earth would be blessed.
A child was to be born of a virgin, for God was to give His only begotten Son: "And the government would be upon His shoulder, and His name would be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."
There are twenty-two astonishing Messianic prophesies in the book of Isaiah, and each one points to the Lord Jesus Christ as its glorious fulfilment, while hundreds more thread their way through the prophetic Scriptures.

The Word of the Lord is sure and every prophetic pronouncement in the Scriptures has or will reach its ultimate fulfilment in Christ, for God's Word is sure, His faithfulness is everlasting, His truth endures from one generation to the next, and His promises are 'yes' and 'amen' in Christ Jesus our Lord.

My Prayer
Heavenly Father, You alone are wise and good. Thank You for the truths that are contained in Your holy Word and that by Your grace You told us the end from the beginning. Thank You that You sent Your Son to be born of a virgin and become the full and final atonement for my sin. Thank You that Jesus walked the earth as a Man and understands all the limitations of our humanity. I am so thankful that He fully understands my weaknesses, having been tempted in all things, yet without sin. Thank You for my precious Savior Who helps me in my trials and temptations and Who is coming back one day to finalize His authority over sin, the world, and the devil. To Him be all the glory, world without end, AMEN.

June 19, 2026 ~ Verse of The Day: Isaiah 6:9

In the year that king Uzziah died, Isaiah had a great vision of the glory, majesty, and holiness of the Lord. It not only caused him to recognize his own sinfulness and admit to his own foul speech and impure actions, but caused him to identify with his own people; a sinful nation with blackened hearts and unclean lips.
The contrast was so stark that Isaiah immediately repented of his wickedness: "Woe is me," he wept, "I am ruined. I am a man of unclean lips and live among a people of unclean lips." He had seen the holy God of Israel, the King of heaven, the Lord of hosts, and was shocked by his own impurity and the sinfulness of his people.
A holy seraph of God cleansed his lips with a burning coal from the heavenly alter, when Isaiah repented of his corrupt and iniquitous ways, and in response to God's call on his life, he cried out, "LORD, here am I. Send me." When his own sins were confessed and forgiven by God, Isaiah was ready and willing to be sent on a life-time mission to minister to his own, sinful nation who were blinded to their own faults.
Chapter one offers a shockingly graphic description of Israel's evil-doing, which could have deterred Isaiah from consecrating himself to God's service: "Alas, sinful nation. You are a people weighed down with iniquity," is the Lord's vigorous verdict on His people, "You are the offspring of evildoers, sons who act corruptly! You have abandoned the LORD. You have despised the Holy One of Israel. You have turned away from Him completely."
They are described as being sick from the sole of their foot even to the crown of their head, with nothing to commend them. They are described as being covered with wounds, bruises, and putrefying sores. They are identified as children who rebelled against God.
Most men who consecrate their lives to serving the Lord and evangelizing the lost, expect to see some positive response from their ministries. But Isaiah is not left under any such illusion as to the reception he will receive, for the Lord tells him, "Go, and tell this people, 'Keep on listening, but do not perceive; Keep on looking, but do not understand.'"
The rebellious hearts of those to whom Isaiah would dedicate his life and ministry, would not recognize their evil ways nor repent of their sin. Rather, they would become increasingly hardened against God. Their ears, their eyes, and their hearts would not be moved by Isaiah's message.
Isaiah was to declare the Word of the Lord to a nation who were judicially blind and spiritually bankrupt. Many decades of rebellion and disobedience had caused Israel to become a people who listened without hearing and looked without understanding.
This verse describes the result of his ministry rather than the content of his message. It tells of the inevitable outcome of his years of preaching to a rebellious people with their unclean lips and hardened hearts: they will ultimately reject their Messiah. How sobering that a heart may become so hardened that their condition is set and unable to be reversed.

Isaiah was called to alert his people, and us, to our sin and our need of salvation. He warns against hardening our heart to the message of salvation. But for those with ears to hear, eyes to see, and a heart that is ready to understand, he gives us some of the most beautiful descriptions of the coming Messiah and the eternal hope we have in Him.

My Prayer
Heavenly Father, it must have been wonderful for Isaiah to see the Lord, high and lifted up, but what a solemn message he was given, that people would hear his words but reject his message. Lord, it is human nature to expect people to respond positively to the glorious gospel of grace, and yet I see that many will hear the words of the gospel but not listen or understand because of the hardness of their hearts. Help me not to become discouraged when I try to share the gospel and am rebuffed or scorned. Help me to be faithful in the work You have given me to do and I pray that some would hear and respond with repentance and joy, for the honor of Your holy name. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.
