Thank you to Josh & Sarah for donating all of these delicious apricots and peaches from your front yard trees. Josh being 6’5 picked the peaches and Elzo 6’2 picked the apricots we got most of the fruit with no ladder or picker.

This fruit was dropped off at St. Mary's Community Services today right after being picked and will help feed several people in need.

Thank you to Louanne McMartin for reaching out to us and letting us help her pick these delicious donut peaches from her backyard tree. She did not want these sweet peaches going to waste knowing there are people in need.

Thank you also to our neighbors Eric & Jessica Gaitan for taking them to the Thornton Community Center, where Jessica works. The Thornton Community Center will distribute these peaches to the food insecure within the community tomorrow.

Elzo ate one of these peaches already after picking them and they are very delicious.

Thank you to Jim Derby for reaching out to donate fruit from his backyard tree. His family planted this tree roughly 60 years ago and have been enjoying its fruit for years.

We have now picked and donated over 60,000 pounds of fruit and it’s because of all the amazing people that made the decision to donate it to people in need instead of allowing the fruit to go to waste in their yards.

This morning The Harvest Club from Lincoln High School helped pick fruit from two houses.

We picked some delicious oranges and two varieties of lemons.

Thank you to Rocky Bongolan Balboa and his wife Christine for letting us pick from their beautiful food forest and for introducing us to their sweet dog and bunny rabbit.

The true sweetness of a harvest isn't found in what we keep, but in the hunger we help heal; a fallen fruit is a lost opportunity, but a shared one is a seed of hope.

With help from Lincoln High Schools Harvest Club we picked over 300 pounds of lemons today. They were dropped off to St. Mary's Community Services where it will be juiced into delicious lemonade and served with a hot meal for people in need.
