Thank you for taking a moment of your time to read this article. My name is Olivia Hamilton. I was born and raised in Guyana with three other siblings, I now reside in the US. I was blessed with an extraordinary husband, and three amazing children. My professional background, and experience is in management . This may sound familiar to some of you, I remember as a child, food was the hardest thing
to get on a daily basis. I watched my mother worry about what will be tomorrow's meals as she prepared the little she had for the present day. Even though she had three jobs and the help of her mother it was clear to us that it was still a struggle to make ends meet. At special times like Christmas my siblings and I would desperately look forward for a delicious meal such as pepper pot, garlic pork , bake chicken , black cake etc, instead of gifts by far we preferred to have food. Not forgetting where I came from, my family struggles, and witnessing the struggles in my community. My heart desires to do something to make a difference for the unfortunate growing population,that is experiencing what my family and I had experienced or even worse. Today I know I'm truly blessed being able to provide for my children and them not having to worry about food. I have a passion for helping others,so I enjoy helping the needy by doing the best I can, however it's really tough doing it on my own. My heart desires to do exponentially more in a wider Spectrum to really make a difference and change lives for the poor and homeless. Through faith of God, and my strong convictions of love,care,hope and peace for God's children of the world I'm motivated to start a non profit organization called GUYANA FOOD PANTRY . I was blessed with board members who share the same passion as me. Our team

Objectives and goals
Are to raise funds to achieve a successful Organization.To continue this mission to meet the unlimited needs across Guyana of homeless children,adults and family's that cannot or can just barely afford food. Our charity provides life saving groceries, hot meals and clean drinking water .Parents are forced to send their children to the streets to beg for food instead of sending them to school.Children drop out because they cannot afford the expense of school supplies .Our charity team here at Guyana Food Pantry sincerely believes every child should be given a fair chance at an education .Which is why we provide school uniforms,and school supplies for the unfortunate children to have chance at a brighter future . GUYANA FOOD PANTRY sincerely appreciates every contribution towards the success of answering God's calling .
