We are sorry to tell you that tragedy has struck Help for the Children's Executive Director, Ginette Thomas and our family.

One of the children who has been supported in Haiti by Ginette and the organization, 2-year-old Hannah, stopped breathing and died late last week. Ginette is in Atlanta while the children were under the care of several trusted house parents.

At the moment, Ginette is trying to raise funds to get a quick trip back to Port-au-Prince and for Hannah's funeral. We are looking for support to help us get Ginette back to Haiti and to cover the costs of giving Hannah the funeral she deserves.

If you can support this effort, we ask that you make a contribution right away through our PayPal site - https://www.paypal.me/hftc

No child deserves to die so young in life and we grieve for Ginette, Hannah's house parents and the other children being supported by Help for the Children. Thanks, in advance, for your support--once again.

Friends—2016 has been a tough year for so many. We can't forget that Hurricane Matthew devastated the town that we support and that YOUR generous dollars showed the community that they were not forgotten.

As we take our plans to the next stage to build a permanent facility in Charlier, we need your help once again. Please consider a generous end-of-year donation to help the children of Charlier: https://www.paypal.me/hftc

Watch this quick video to hear from our founder, Ginette Thomas, and see a bit of the great work that we are doing.

Thanks for your support.
