Overview The ATL Bus Academy is a mobile learning initiative designed to empower youth through creative expression, practical skills training, and transformative experiences. Inspired by the legacy of D’Wayne Wiggins, the academy blends education, mentorship, and personal development to foster growth and opportunity for participants.
Mission To honor the memory of D’Wayne Wiggins by creating a dynamic, mobile education platform that supports literacy, career development, and holistic learning, while inspiring creativity and connection.
Key Features of the ATL Bus Academy
1. Mobile Learning Initiative The bus itself is a rolling classroom, equipped with:
Educational TV: For streaming educational videos tailored to literacy, life skills, and career readiness.
Karaoke for Literacy: A program inspired by D’Wayne Wiggins, using karaoke to build literacy skills, confidence, and public speaking abilities in a fun, interactive way.
2. CDL Training Program Teaching youth practical driving skills on the bus and guiding them through the process of obtaining a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), opening doors to new career paths.

The bus mural, created during the Electric Church retreat, stands as a testament to mentorship, creativity, and community.
