Dr. Kaye's Pantry Memories

11/13/2022

The holiday season is upon us. At the Pantry, we are deluged with families that need assistance. If you are blessed with enough for you and your family, I have a great way for you to show your gratitude - come help us serve those who don't have enough. You can work 1 hour or 6 (in the evenings on Tuesday and Thursday up to 4). Parents bring your children and train them to serve the poor. Also, we have 800+ families that we need to help or they will not have a Thanksgiving meal this holiday. We have just purchased 400 turkeys (at a cost of $15,000.00) so far, but need at least 400 more (plus we still need all the fixings/sides). Can you / will you help?
You can donate at the link below. If you want to come and volunteer - we need you. We are open Mon-Fri (and some Saturdays).

Elections are coming in November. They are important. But no politician or party can turn America around. Only God can do that. Worship changes the spiritual atmosphere of a nation, which in turn changes the circumstances in a nation. In light of that, we are holding Sing Over America gatherings every Wednesday evening from 6-7 pm until the election. No teaching, no preaching, no socializing. Only worship and intercession asking God to release the Presence, power, and ministry of His Spirit in our lives and in our nation. Please come and join us - our nation is at stake!
The meetings will be held at Union United Methodist Church at 4600 GA-138, Stockbridge, GA 30281.

It's that time of year again! Thanksgiving and Christmas are upon us. As you are already aware, the events of the last two years have been devastating to many individuals and families.

We are anticipating having to assist 2,000+ families (elderly, disabled, financially distressed, homeless, etc.). These individuals and families will not have a Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner unless we all pull together to help them.

Monday, November 8th, 2021, Helping In His Name Ministries (The Food Pantry) will be partnering with The Joy FM and 1st Franklin Financial for our annual T-Shirts For Turkeys. You can participate by bringing a turkey, a $10 cash donation, or a $10 gift card (from a grocery store). As a sign of our gratitude for your helping us help those in need within our community, for each turkey, donation, or gift card, you will receive a free Joy FM t-shirt!

Over the last 7 years, your generosity has ensured that many individuals and families did not have to do without at this special time of the year. As we partner together again this year, though the need is great, what we do can meet the need.

Join us as we share the love of Christ to a world that is hurting.

The date is Monday, November 8th, 2021
The Location is Truett's Chic-fil-A, 1785 Jonesboro Rd, McDonough, Ga

God bless you, in advance, for helping us make a difference in the lives of families and individuals in our community!

Thank you to everyone that turned out at the 2020 T-Shirts for Turkeys event. We received 20 turkeys and $2,400 in donations. Our goal is to provide a full Thanksgiving dinner to 1,500 needy families this Thanksgiving. So, while we are thankful for what has come in, we need lots more. If you want to help, it is not too late. Visit the Helping In His Name website and click the donate button to contribute to this effort to show the love of Jesus to those in need this Thanksgiving.
