Thank you staff at the Laurel Heights hospital for having us come out and do a songwriting workshop with your children patients going thru tough times. Your support was awesome, and the kids and I had ALOT of fun!! We've got to do it again!

We never knew how many of our residential patients had a song in their heart or loved making music until this month's Laurel Lights Assembly guest came to Laurel Heights Hospital. Mr. Hogan of Independent Playground Studios turned our gymnasium into a songwriting, song-creating studio for our students and those not participating in song creation became the best audience ever, cheering the others on, staff included. Thank you, Independent Playground Studios, for an experience the patients and staff will remember forever!

It's been awhile since I last posted - but I've been soooo busy bringing my Studio program down to the ATL! Last year we made a 14 song album called "Tales From Crazytown Elementary" with my three afterschool programs that I collaborated with here in Henry County, Georgia. This year we're working on a new album entitled either "Big and Loud" or "Supernova", I we haven't decided yet. The song the kids are working on in these pictures and video, will be called "I can see the Galaxy", and will probably be the last song on the album. Look at the pure joy on the kids faces – nothing is fake or posed - we get down at IPS workshops! I'm so proud of these kids, and their talent is obvious.

Note: They just learned this song yesterday, so they will learn to sing it even tighter as we go along. When we are done recording this chorus that I wrote, the kids have already sketched out versus that they wanna put to this song, and they will record that also. "Galaxy" will be a song about how they will need support if they want to be able to reach for the stars while they rocket out to the universe!
