SMITH Academy will be offering a Summer Enrichment program. Registration will open June 1st and close June 27th. Camp hours are from 8:30 am to 3 pm. We will also have extended hours. Seats are limited. There is a $30 registration fee. Afternoon snack will be provided.

We are excited to partner with Texas Roadhouse in McDonough for our second Dine to Donate event on March 31st from 4:00-9:00 PM! Last semester, our SMITH Academy family showed up in a big way, making our first fundraiser a success. We are so grateful for everyone who dined, shared, and supported our scholars—and this time, we’re aiming even higher! 🚀

Due to the lingering inclement weather from this week’s winter storm, SMITH Academy will remain closed for classes and all instructional activities on Thursday, January 23, 2025. Our goal is to keep scholars, families, and staff first - your safety, security, and wellbeing.

This was not an easy decision to make; however, keeping our scholars first and foremost is paramount and nonnegotiable. As such, we will remain in concert with Stockbridge PD, Henry County School District and additional Officials, all of whom are urging caution during this time.

Thank you for your patience, continued support, and trust. Please remain safe, secure, warm, and remain careful.

With regard to the most recent data received on today from the National Weather Service and Henry County EMA, regarding hazardous weather and road conditions, dangerous temperatures and wind chill, including the winter storm warning and pattern, SMITH Academy of Excellence, will be closed on Wednesday, January 22, 2025.

Official Statement:

Re: FRIDAY, JANUARY 10, 2025

In lieu of the most recent weather reports, to include data received today from the National Weather Service and the Henry County Emergency Management Agency, SMITH Academy Of Excellence and Henry County School District will be closed Friday, January 10, 2025.

The safety, security, and wellness of our Scholars, Families, Staff, and SAE Community remain our priority.

Official Academy Operations will resume on Monday, January 13, 2025.
