Thornfield Disc Golf Course The only exclusive private disc golf course designed for Chariy Tournaments of its kind in the area. Disc golf is a lifetime fitness sport.

Thornfield Disc Golf Course was built by Suburban Lawn & Garden in early 2008 on the scenic property owned by Bill and Bo Stueck. The only private course of its kind in Kansas City, Thornfield was designed by Dennis Vahsholtz and Bill Paulson. The Stueck's vision in building the course was to host fundraising tournaments for local non-profit organizations. Disc golf began in the 1960's as an offsh

oot of the Frisbee craze. The original courses were "object courses" using trashcans, light poles and even trees as baskets. There are now over 2,500 disc golf courses throughout the country including at least 14 public courses in the Kansas City Metro Area. It's easy to learn, a healthy activity and accessible to people of all ages and fitness levels. Thornfield is not open to the public and does not maintain a formal website. Two disc golf tournaments are now confirmed for fall with another pending!

Cornerstones of CareDATE & TIME: Saturday, September 20 AT 9:00 A.M. Registration opens at 8 am. LOCATION: Thornfield Disc Golf Course, 6701 W 167th St, Stillwell, KS 66085

Sept. 27th is Kansas Land Trust (KLT)

September 27 | 8am Registration opens, Play at 9! | Thornfield Course

Players of all levels are invited to join the fun for this "four-person scramble" style tournament!

Prizes are awarded to the top three teams and to the winners of individual hole contests.

This tournament provides exclusive access to a private course that runs through the scenic woodlands along the Blue River.
