We are so excited about the recent upgrades in the Bwambo community. Until last week, many children were unable to attend St. John the Baptist School due to the precarious conditions of mountain roads. Now, with the generosity of our donors, their new school bus can bring them to and from school each day.

Next, because of the generosity of donors from St. Francis De Sales and those who attended the Woman-2-Woman Luncheon, an oven and equipment were purchased for the opening of the first women-owned bakery in Bwambo! Bread will also be made for SJB student meals.

This was the original “school bus” at St. John the Baptist Elementary in Bwambo. Our headmaster is picking up the newly purchased yellow school bus this weekend! Thanks to St. Francis de Sales parishioners, many more kids will be able to attend our school, now that they have transportation!
