Don't forget that the VFW scholarship opportunities are now open.

The VFW offers two amazing opportunities for students:

Patriot’s Pen – An essay competition for middle school students.

Voice of Democracy – An audio essay scholarship competition for high school students.

This year's theme for both scholarships is: “What a Veteran Taught Me About America”.

These are wonderful opportunities for students to share their thoughts, reflect on the sacrifices and experiences of our veterans, and compete for scholarship awards. If you know a middle school or high school student who may be interested, please share this information with them!

The VFW 2026 Scholarships Are Now Open!

VFW 2027 is now accepting entries for our annual scholarships.

Patriot’s Pen:
Open to students in 6th–8th grade, Patriot’s Pen is an essay based competition. This year's theme is "What a Veteran Taught Me About America".

Voice of Democracy:
Open to students in 9th–12th grade, Voice of Democracy is a audio-essay based competition. Students submit a recorded essay based on the theme "What a Veteran Taught Me About America".

These are incredible opportunities for students to have their voices heard while earning money toward their future education! For more information, please see the attached flyers or feel free to reach out with any questions.
