✅ MyPI Oklahoma In Action
Murray County Extension Educator Debbie Sharp, Murray County Emergency Management Director Brian McDaniel and other community resources conducted the first MyPI Youth Preparedness Initiative program in Oklahoma. Students learned fire supression and inspection, fire safety, how to turn off a gas meter, exterior building inspection looking for power sources, escape routes and exterior danger potentials, first aid and CPR training. These are just a few of the concepts learned from the Teen CERT program. Youth will also complete a community service project called PREP + 6 developing emergency supply kits and communication plans for their own household and six additional families to graduate from the program.
