Stillwater Habitat for Humanity

Stillwater Habitat for Humanity Serving Stillwater families through affordable homeownership, volunteer engagement, and community partnership. Construction is underway on the next house.

Stillwater Habitat for Humanity (SHFH), originally named Payne County Habitat for Humanity, held its first meeting in January 1990, and was granted affiliate and non-profit status on February 10, 1991. Flash forward to 2010 and in just 20 years time we completed our 20th house. Our family partners are excited about their new home and are busy completing their sweat equity. We are blessed with many

volunteers, without whom, we could never accomplish what we do. In addition, we have a small commited staff who are working alongside our volunteers to eliminate poverty housing in our community. In 2010, we hired our first Executive Director who was tasked with taking us into a new era for Stillwater Habitat for Humanity. The faith community has been critically important to the mission of Habitat in providing spiritual, financial, and volunteer support. It is a goal of Stillwater Habitat to enter into covenant relationship with local faith groups committed to helping their neighbors in need.

🏠 Welcome Rob Woods to the Stillwater Habitat Family!

We’re excited to introduce Rob Woods as our new Construction Manager at Stillwater Habitat for Humanity!

Rob grew up building homes alongside his dad and grandad, and construction has remained a big part of his life ever since. He brings years of hands-on residential and commercial construction experience, along with a strong background in project management, safety, team leadership, and working with subcontractors and community partners.

Most importantly, Rob understands that what we build is about more than houses. It’s about people, families, and strengthening our community.

Please join us in welcoming Rob to the Stillwater Habitat family! We’re excited to have him leading our construction efforts as we enter one of the busiest and most exciting periods of homebuilding in our organization’s history.

Welcome aboard, Rob! 🔨🏠

🏡 Another Family. Another Dream. Another Set of Keys. ❤️

Today we had the privilege of celebrating a milestone that never gets old: Chabeli Robertson officially became Stillwater Habitat for Humanity's newest homeowner!

Homeownership is about so much more than a house. It's about stability, security, and creating a place where memories can be made for years to come. Chabeli has worked hard to reach this moment, and we couldn't be happier to celebrate alongside her as she begins this exciting new chapter.

A special thank you also goes to John Bartley and the entire team at Community Escrow & Title. John has been a faithful partner of Stillwater Habitat for Humanity for many years, generously sharing his expertise and helping make closing day possible for so many of our partner families. We are incredibly grateful for his continued commitment to our mission.

It truly takes a community to build a home. From volunteers and donors to community partners like Community Escrow & Title, every person plays a role in helping families achieve the dream of affordable homeownership.

Congratulations, Chabeli! 🎉 We are honored to be part of your journey and can't wait to see all that's ahead.

❤️ Thank you to everyone who helps us build homes, strengthen families, and create a stronger Stillwater community.

What a fantastic day with CommunityCare!

Today, we had the privilege of partnering with the leadership team from CommunityCare for a unique team-building experience that made a real impact right here in our community. Despite the Oklahoma heat, their team rolled up their sleeves, worked hard, and successfully built TWO beautiful playhouses that will help support Stillwater Habitat for Humanity’s mission for years to come.

These playhouses will be used in future auctions and community fundraising events, helping us raise critical funds to build affordable housing and create opportunities for local families.

We are incredibly grateful for CommunityCare’s investment of time, talent, and resources. Their enthusiasm, teamwork, and commitment to giving back were evident throughout the day. It was inspiring to watch their leadership team collaborate, problem-solve, and leave behind something tangible that will continue making a difference long after today.

Thank you, CommunityCare, for your partnership, your generosity, and for braving the heat to help build hope in our community!
