Why I joined Kappa Delta Chi: “I joined Kappa Delta Chi because I wanted to connect and build lasting friendships that I could take into the rest of my life and gain a support system throughout my time at kstate. Since my first year on campus, every girl on KDChi has been super friendly and made me feel welcomed and seen. Seeing them as a group or individually, they always seemed so strong, intelligent, and loving and I wanted to be just like them. Since joining, I have been able to grow academically, socially, and feel valued. I am grateful for every person I’ve met and the sisterhood Ive had the privilege to join!”

Why I joined Kappa Delta Chi: “As someone who’s from out of state and grew up with only brothers, I hoped college would bring the chance to build a close sisterly bond. When I met the girls in KDX, everything just felt natural. We shared the same values, made each other laugh and there would always someone down to grab food/hang out even at the most random times. KDX has pushed me to grow and supported me through difficult moments. I feel incredibly fortunate to have found a group of people to make Kstate feel like home :)”

I also wanted to surround myself with a women empowering community and throughout my time here, I truly found that. As someone who can be shy at times, I wanted to meet new people, make meaningful friendships, and find a community where I felt accepted for who I am. What drew me in was the opportunity to be surrounded by strong, intelligent, and driven women who inspire me to grow every day. In joining I’ve found friendships that mean so much to me, made unforgettable memories, and gained a support system that feels like family. Knowing that I have people who will celebrate my successes, encourage me through challenges, and allow me to do the same for them is something I truly value.”
