Coffee and convening. ☕

Yesterday, our Executive Director, Ruth Cavins, met with Payne County nonprofit directors and the Oklahoma Center for Nonprofits to discuss training and support needs.

Strong nonprofits build strong communities. When we come together to share ideas, identify needs and invest in one another, we all move forward.

United Way of Payne County has set an ambitious goal to raise $1.25 million to support local nonprofit organizations and programs that help our neighbors thrive. As a proud United Way partner agency, LIFE Center is part of that network of organizations working to make Payne County a stronger, healthier community.

United Way funding helps support the work we do every day at LIFE Center, providing adult day services for older adults and adults with disabilities while offering caregivers valuable respite and support. When you participate in Pumpkins with Purpose, you're helping United Way reach its community fundraising goal, and supporting the local organizations, including LIFE Center, that make a difference right here in our community.💛

We believe big things happen when a community comes together. Whether you're decorating a pumpkin, voting for your favorite, sharing this post, or encouraging a friend to participate, you're helping turn a little fall fun into something meaningful.

Let's help United Way reach its goal, support the organizations serving our neighbors, and show what our community can do when we come together!

Who's ready to decorate? 🎃💛

On Friday, volunteers from Google lent a helping hand around the United Way office by giving our door and window trim a fresh coat of paint.

We appreciate them so much!

We recently had the opportunity to celebrate our Leaders Society members and thank them for their commitment to strengthening lives across Payne County. Their generosity fuels nearly half of our annual campaign support, helping ensure local children, families and individuals have the resources they need to thrive. Thank you for investing in a stronger community.

The spirit of Day of Caring continued as Orange Pest Control generously provided pest control services to our partner agencies. This is what community support in action looks like. 💙💛
