On Sunday, March 20, 2022, we hosted 13 singers for the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition - Upper Midwest Region. One winner was chosen to move on to the Semi-Final competition on the stage of the Metropolitan Opera in New York City - Anne Marie Stanley. Here are two photos with Anne Marie, the first is Anne Marie and the pianist who played so brilliantly for both the District and Region competitions, Lara Bolton. The second photo is Anne Marie Stanley with Lara Bolton and our distinguished judges William Stone, Cori Ellison, and representing the Metropolitan Opera, Myra Huang. A terrific day of singing and congratulations again to Anne Marie!

What a Weekend!!!
On Saturday, we hosted 22 singers for the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition - Minnesota District. We were excited to send 2 singers on to the Upper Midwest Region, Maire Carmack and Hao Jiang. One of the Minnesota District competitors this year is from Mariupol, Ukraine, and has chosen to stay with his family and probably will not be competing here.
