"The Imagination Library has been such a gift for our family. As a parent, it’s meant having the joy of sharing stories with my children without worrying about access or affordability. Every month means a little bit of magic arrives in our mailbox." - Local parent

There was so much anticipation leading up to enrollment day. When enrollment opened on July 1, 2021, there were already families in the queue waiting to register.

To the shock and excitement of the Bridge to Books team, more than 200 children enrolled in the first 24 hours!

It was a clear sign that our community was ready and eager to invest in early literacy. 📚💛Have you been with us since the beginning? Let us know if you were one of those early-enrollees!

Today, we’re celebrating the amazing moms who make story time so much more than just reading a book. 💛Through every shared story, you’re helping your child build a love of reading that will last a lifetime.

We're honored to support those special moments by delivering free books right to your mailbox; books that help families across our community grow, learn, and dream together. 💖

Thank you, moms, for all that you do, the time you give, and the love you pour into every moment. 💐

The sisters set an ambitious goal: raise $25,000 before opening enrollment on July 1, 2021.

Thanks to the incredible enthusiasm and generosity of this community, they didn’t just meet that goal, they exceeded it. More than $27,000 was fundraised to launch the program, paving the way for putting books into the hands of local children through partnership with Dolly Parton's Imagination Library!

🔟Days until the Bridge to Books Birthday Bash! We'll be sharing some Bridge to Books history and highlights leading up to the event to celebrate this exciting milestone!

Did you know that most communities in the Twin Cities metro still don’t have access to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library?
When Bridge to Books began, there were no programs serving the Twin Cities metro at all. That surprised Stillwater native Laurann, who tried to enroll her nephews in 2019. When the Imagination Library told her there was no program serving the Stillwater area, she decided to take action.

Laurann looped in her sisters, Katie and Nickie, and got to work. After exploring partnerships with other non-profits, the sisters decided to create their own non-profit dedicated to sponsoring the Imagination Library.

Just like that, Bridge to Books was born! 📚🎉
