Who We Are:

We’re 2.7 million strong—1.9 million girls and 800,000 adults who believe girls can change the world. It began over 100 years ago with one woman, Girl Scouts’ founder Juliette Gordon “Daisy” Low, who believed in the power of every girl. She organized the first Girl Scout troop on March 12, 1912, in Savannah, Georgia, and every year since, we've made her vision a reality, helping girls discover their strengths, passions, and talents. Today we continue the Girl Scout mission of building girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. We’re the preeminent leadership development organization for girls. And with programs for girls from coast to coast and across the globe, Girl Scouts offers every girl a chance to do something amazing. Our Mission:

Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. These are the words we live by:

Girl Scout Promise

On my honor, I will try:
To serve God and my country,
To help people at all times,
And to live by the Girl Scout Law. Girl Scout Law

I will do my best to be
honest and fair,
friendly and helpful,
considerate and caring,
courageous and strong, and
responsible for what I say and do,
and to
respect myself and others,
respect authority,
use resources wisely,
make the world a better place, and
be a sister to every Girl Scout.

What an AMAZING night for our Stewartville l Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts! 🚔✨

Our scouts had the opportunity to go behind the scenes at the Law Enforcement Center, where they toured both the jail and the 911 dispatch center—such a cool, hands-on learning experience!

The K-9 demonstrations by Bruno, Zeus, and Huey 🐶👏 The scouts (and adults!) loved seeing these incredible dogs in action!

It was a night full of learning, excitement, and unforgettable memories. We are so grateful to the Olmsted County Sheriff's Office for hosting us and giving our scouts this amazing opportunity! 🤩💙

🚗✨ Big congratulations to our Junior Girl Scouts! ✨🚗

Our girls rolled up their sleeves and explored the exciting world of automotive design, engineering, and manufacturing as they worked toward earning their Automotive Badge!

Through hands-on learning, they discovered how vehicles go from just an idea to something you can drive on the street—bringing **STEM to life** in a real and meaningful way. Along the way, they learned:
🔧 How ideas turn into plans to design a vehicle
🌱 How science is used to create more eco-friendly and fuel-efficient cars
🏭 How teamwork and organization help factories build vehicles at scale

A huge thank you to Tom Kadlec Honda for partnering with us and providing such a fun, educational experience. Your team made learning engaging, interactive, and inspiring for our girls!

We are so proud of these Juniors for their curiosity, teamwork, and willingness to try something new. The future is bright! 💪🔧💚

Pre-K families — did you know your girl can join Girl Scouts starting April 1?

The months before kindergarten are full of big changes, and Girl Scouts can be a wonderful way for girls to stay connected with friends over the summer while building confidence for the school year ahead.

Our youngest Girl Scouts are called Daisies, and it’s often where lifelong friendships begin.

In Girl Scouts, girls can:

• explore nature and outdoor adventures
• create art and science projects
• learn teamwork and leadership
• give back to their community
• build friendships that help them feel ready for kindergarten

For many families, Girl Scouts becomes a place where girls enter kindergarten already knowing a few friendly faces and feeling confident trying new things.

If you have a girl entering Kindergarten this fall, now is the perfect time to start learning about Girl Scouts in your community.

Curious what Girl Scouts looks like where you live?

Drop a comment or send a message and we’d be happy to help you get connected.

Tag a friend with a future Kindergartener who might want to join the adventure.

🎉💚 Happy Birthday, Juliette Gordon Low! 💚🎉

🥳 Today, we celebrate our founder, Juliette Gordon Low, her incredible mission, and her passion for empowering girls! 🎉🎂✨

Last week, all of our Girl Scout troops came together to honor Juliette in true Girl Scout spirit — with creativity, competition, and community service! We built and raced our own pumpkin racers 🎃🏁 and then joined forces for a wonderful give-back project.

Together, we created over 50 Birthday Kits to spread cheer all over town! 🥳 These kits will be placed in our local Little Pantries and shared with school counselors to brighten birthdays for kids and families in need. 💌🎂

Then we ended the day with a little cake. 🙂
