Congratulations Bro. Michael Ryans.

The Hale County School System would like to congratulate Mr. Michael C. Ryans on being named Superintendent of the Year for District 7. The system's administrative staff describes Superintendent Ryans as dedicated, innovative, honest, dependable, and hard-working. These qualities are not just professional, but also personal. Mr. Ryans represents a well-rounded leader who cares about ALL employees. His personal touch is evident in his words, 'If no one has told you, I love you,' which he shares during every Institute or meeting. Despite his busy schedule, Superintendent Ryans always finds time to participate in walk-throughs, meetings, and school events, showing his personal commitment to the school community.
During his 25 years in the Hale County School System, Ryans has served as a teacher, assistant principal, principal, director, and assistant superintendent before serving as the superintendent. The system has grown academically and financially during his tenure. Multiple district-wide facility improvement projects, such as window and door replacements, HVAC improvements, flooring upgrades, and gym renovations, are some of the many improvements made within the last few years. The district has received a B on the state report card for two consecutive years and has had 90% proficiency for graduation rates and academic growth.
