Boy Scout Troop 278 Kent Island

Boy Scout Troop 278 Kent Island We serve age 11 through 17 boys. Meetings are Monday nights at 7pm.

Our Troop is chartered by the American Legion Post 278, located at 800 Romancoke Road (Route 8) in Stevensville, Maryland, and is the oldest Troop on Kent Island.

Michael Link has been a powerhouse Scout leader in the Choptank District for at least 10 years. He has served as the Cubmaster for Pack 496 on Kent Island, which he built to be the largest unit in the district. He now serves as Scoutmaster for Troop 278 and Crew Advisor for Crew 278, and he has served as the Membership Chair for Choptank for the past 3 years. Congratulations!!!

Of the hundreds of athletes that will represent the United States in the 2024 Summer Olympics, 13 are Eagle Scouts.

Unfortunately we didn't have any entries into our holiday lighting contest but as usual we didn't let a little adversity dampen our contest. A group of scouts drove around anyway and we are excited to announce the results of the inaugural Troop Greater Stevensville Holiday lights contest. The most festive community was Ellendale with the highest number of decorated houses. The top 3 decorated houses included one house in Bay City and two houses in Cloverfields.
