TransAct Hope

TransAct Hope TransAct Hope is a Faith-based program connecting others to Christ while helping overcome barriers.

The goal of TransACT Hope is to see our neighbors achieve their goals and experience financial, emotional, and spiritual growth. We believe that cycles of poverty, addiction, abuse, and despair can be broken. TransACT Hope partners with neighbors in our community who have limited resources and are working to overcome barriers hindering their growth. Whatever their struggle, we help build a communi

ty around each participant that fosters forward movement and Christ-centered transformation. The challenges our neighbors face may be different addictions, criminal history, a pattern of broken relationships, poverty, or financial insecurity but our response is the same. TransACT Hope participants receive:

An opportunity to know Christ – Participants are encouraged to join Bible studies and take courses offered in area churches. Classes are built on the gospel and relevant to needs such as Jobs for Life, Faith and Finances etc. Affordable housing – Housing costs can cripple people with limited resources. TransACT Hope provides housing at a discount based on financial circumstances. With this assistance, participants can work towards financial security and independence as they learn how to effectively manage their resources. A personalized care team – Initially, each participant is paired with a support partner who helps them identify goals and strengths. Together, they choose a team of people that meet regularly to support and hold the participant accountable while working toward the goals. Teams consist of friends, Christian mentors, co-workers, teachers, or people from other local programs where they already have connections. Participants’ success is realized when they achieve their goals and are thriving in communities of healthy relationships. WE look forward to the day when TransACT hope recipients give back to others in our community. When you partner with TransACT Hope, you can be assured we are committed to empower and not enable. Accordingly, TransACT Hope is not advertised or listed as a public agency where people can apply for aid. We select people who are already committed to a growth process and have existing connections with a local church or community agency.

From my morning devotional by Alistair Begg, he uses my favorite analogy of life as a tapestry, created by God…

“We so easily forget that what appears to be a mess is just the back view of the tapestry God is weaving. One day, though, when we get the chance to see His handiwork from the front, all of those strange and dark threads will prove to have been part of His glorious pattern. Today, remember that “coincidences” are no such thing, that uncertainties and difficulties are opportunities to trust in God, and that behind all of them He is working out His plans to prosper His people in faith and godliness, and to bring them home.”

So, what is TransAct Hope?

Our mission is to offer hope to our neighbors who are committed to improving their lives by connecting them to Christ, affordable housing, and a community of caring people.

Studies have shown a lack of affordable housing is one of the largest financial stressors. TransAct Hope owns several mobile homes, which we may provide to participants to use as a tool to facilitate success toward their goals.

We provide participants with a team of people who help them set and achieve appropriate goals, utilize community resources, and get to know Christ to better understand His purpose for their lives.
