Habitat for Humanity - Central Wisconsin Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit , Christian housing ministry. Habitat’s mission is to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness in the worldwide.

Central Wisconsin Habitat for Humanity is an ecumenical Christian housing ministry dedicated to selling affordable homes to qualified applicant families. Although our affiliate name is Central Wisconsin HfH, we serve Portage County, including Stevens Point, Plover and Whiting. Habitat benefits from donations of your time, expertise, building materials, land, and of course any monetary donations yo

u are kind enough to give. Please contact us about any donations of materials you are able to provide. We strive to make the best and wisest use of all gifts to our housing ministry. If you designate your gift for use in Portage County, one hundred percent of your monetary gift will be used to provide safe, sound and affordable homes for needy families right here. For non- designated gifts, ninety percent will be used for home construction here in Portage County and the balance will help Habitat for Humanity International construct homes throughout the world. It is the generosity of people like you that enabled Habitat to put desperately needed roofs over the heads of nearly thirty needy families here in Portage County. We kicked off the first weekend of Rock the Block with some awesome volunteers at a home just west of the river!

We spread new gravel 🪏and stained the deck. 🪚It looks awesome!

Stay tuned for more in depth information for our upcoming Rock the Block event. We are partnering with the City of Stevens Point to help allocate funding for income eligible families in need of exterior home repairs.

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery....so we are stealing this snapshot of the Aging and Disability Resource Center of Portage County recent newsletter.

Whether you volunteer with us, the ADRC, or something completely different that speaks to your heart! Just Volunteer its rewarding for everyone!

With that said keep an eye out for an exciting new Rock the Block Event we will be organizing this spring! We can use help with marketing, communications, logistics, site supervisors and many other things. If you have 1 hour a month or 20 hours of a month of time to give we could use your help!
