*edit* The Panel has been FOUND!!!! Thank you for all the shares!!
🚨We need your HELP!!! Please share this post in hopes that this crime gets solved.
👉 Sometime between last week, and this past Monday someone (likely several) stole the large wooden panel (pic in post) from the Buena Vista Wildlife Area historical kiosk located just east of the junction of County Roads F and W. This beautiful panel (and the other with the prairie scene on the opposite side) were recently restored by students at UW-Stevens Point with funds donated to the family in memory of Greg Dahl, WDNR Wildlife Supervisor.
This theft has been devastating to the family and the talented young students who spent months restoring this beautiful mural depicting one of the most unique wildlife species in the State of Wisconsin.
Please, if you know anything, contact Lesa Kardash, WDNR Wildlife Biologist at 715-421-7813 (landline), 715-340-5034 (mobile) or Portage County Conservation Warden Jeff Nieling at 715-570-4388. Your help will be greatly appreciated.
