Coalition member groups, organizations, and individuals share the belief that all people, in particular young people, need the opportunity to connect with nature in order to learn and grow into healthy, responsible, and engaged community citizens. The Wisconsin No Child Left Inside Coalition has developed an Environmental Literacy Plan for Wisconsin to address the environmental education needs of Wisconsin's pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade schools and pays special attention to creating more opportunities to get kids outside. The Plan recommends a comprehensive strategy to ensure every child graduates with the environmental skills and knowledge needed to contribute to a sustainable future.
