🌿✨ Big things start with small actions — and we’re ready to grow something amazing!

We’re proud to be part of Roots & Shoots, a global movement founded by Dr. Jane Goodall that empowers young people to create positive change for people, animals, and the environment.

Our group is coming together to take action right here in our community — whether it’s cleaning up green spaces, helping local wildlife, planting seeds (literally and figuratively), or finding new ways to care for the planet we all share. 🌎💚

This is just the beginning. Follow along, join in, and let’s show that compassion is powerful — and action is contagious.

Our first day of Spring clean-up! was a success😊 these kiddos worked hard to clean up the left over debris from the new playground at Iverson as well as the forested area by Metro Market! We’ve got some wildlife warriors in our group🤩

Roots & Shoots has come to Stevens Point!
We are an extension of the global Roots & Shoots program that was founded in 1991 by The Jane Goodall Institute.
Our mission is to take leadership in our community with projects and events that promote a sustainable environment for human and wildlife inhabitants alike.
Our first project is the Spring Clean-up!

During this project we will be visiting the 21 recognized public parks in the Stevens Point and Plover region. We will be cleaning trash in these areas to benefit the wildlife and recreational uses by humans.
We will need volunteers and donations! A list of items needed:
*trash bags
*garbage grabbers/spikes
*rubber gloves
*backpacks
*safety vests

If you would like to sign up to volunteer, please send a message to the administrator and we will coordinate volunteer times.
