A small but mighty packing crew at the August Warehouse Packing Day in Stevens Point, Wisconsin.
Special thanks to Brown, Fond Du Lac and Green Lake County Wisconsin Association for Home and Community Education clubs and all the people from around the State of WI for bringing your donations for Nicaragua to the warehouse, and we so appreciate all the people who help packing, and others who contribute in a vareity of ways to make this humanitarian effort possible, this is what a team effort looks like!!

One of our favorite quotes from the The Denton Humanitarian Assistance Program after seeing donated firefighting equipment being used in Nicaragua, so true, "However tragic for the people affected by this and other accidents, it is good to see the first responders ability react in a quicker and more efficient manner to assist and save lives."

Today starting at noon is the 40th Festival of India at SPASH in Stevens Point. The event is free to attend with entertainment, interesting display boards that illustrate what the proceeds from the sale of beautiful clothing, jewelry and delicious authentic Indian food support. It is a pleasure to partner and help support other organizations like SHAMA that bring people together for the good of others, offering important educational and community programs for people that change and improve lives!

The annual SPARTA (Stevens Point Area Retired Teachers' Association) Book Sale starts today at the Stevens Point Holiday Inn and is a great opportunity to pick up amazing books at a great price while supporting a good cause! The book sale proceeds support scholarships and projects with local non-profit organizations like the Wis/Nic Partners Library Project and many more.
