🐾 PET OF THE WEEK — DAY 1: SAGE 🐾

Hi friends! 👋 My name is Sage, and I’m this week’s Pet of the Week! 💕 Let me tell you a little bit about myself.

🐶 5 years old
🐾 Terrier mix… maybe? Honestly, your guess is as good as ours! 😂

💉 Up to date on vaccines

I’m looking for a home where I can feel safe, loved, and comfortable. Because of my personality and needs, my rescue friends think I would do best in an all-adult home. If you have kids, I’d be happiest with children 12 years old and up.

When it comes to other dogs, I’m pretty funny about it. 🐶 I tend to be cautious around bigger dogs, but honestly, if another dog is around, I don’t seem to really care one way or the other. 😂 I’m perfectly happy doing my own thing and letting them do theirs!

And here’s an extra-special reason to keep an eye on me this week… ❤️ My adoption fee is REDUCED this week only!

💜 BLAKE HAS SPENT HIS WHOLE LIFE IN RESCUE. NOW HE NEEDS A HOME. 💜

Blake is finally here in Wisconsin, and now that we’re getting to know him outside of the only life he’s ever known, we want to share a little more about this incredibly special boy.

Blake is 3 years old—and he has spent his entire life in rescue.

He has been loved. He has been fed. He has been cared for. He has known kindness.

But what he hasn’t really known is what it feels like to live inside a home and understand that it belongs to him, too. 🥺

So right now, being inside is a little scary.

He paces. He gets nervous. His brain is trying to make sense of this brand-new world where there are couches and rooms and household noises and people telling him, “It’s okay, buddy. You can relax here.”

And that's going to take time. ❤️

We want Blake’s future family to understand that going into this. He doesn’t need someone who expects him to walk through the door and immediately know how to be a house dog.

He needs patience.
He needs reassurance.
He needs someone willing to give him the time to realize that he is HOME.

Because underneath those nerves is one of the sweetest boys you could ever meet.

Blake absolutely LOVES humans.
He LOVES other dogs.
He is affectionate, goofy, happy, and so incredibly full of love.

And apparently he also LOVES tater tots. 😂🥔

This boy has spent three years waiting for his turn.

We know there is someone out there who will look at Blake and say, “You don't have to figure it all out today. We've got the rest of your life.” 💜
