The Stevens Point Housing Authority (SPHA) is partnering with CAP Services, Inc. for its 5th year in a row to provide FREE tax preparation services to income eligible SPHA tenants on select dates from February 2026 to April 2026 at the Hi-Rise Dining Room and at Madison View Apts.

The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) is a United Way of Portage County initiative. IRS-trained volunteers from CAP Services, Inc. will help you get your FULL refund. There are no hidden fees.

File your Federal and Wisconsin state taxes for FREE. You may be eligible for the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC), the Child Tax Credit, and/or Homestead Tax Credit which may total thousands of dollars.

The Stevens Point Housing Authority is hosting its 4th annual “Cookies & Pictures with Santa Claus” event. This is a special invitation to visit with Santa Claus, take your own picture, and make sure you tell Santa what you want for Christmas.

The event will take place on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, from 4pm to 6pm at 725 John’s Drive, Unit 10. The event is ONLY for SPHA tenants and their children at Madison View, Scattered Sites, or Hi-Rise Manor. There will be cookies and hot chocolate.
