Chief W. J. McKenzie III is honored to partner with Ja’Quan Lavender and the Ja’Quan Lavender Foundation for the 5th Annual Olympic Youth Fun Day!

📅 Saturday, July 11, 2026
🕛 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM

This is a FREE event for all youth participants, and we want to see our young people come together for an afternoon filled with fun, fitness, fellowship, and friendly competition!

💪 Pull-Up Competition
💪 Dip Competition
💪 Push-Up Competition
💪 Sit-Up Competition
🏃 Running Events
💵 Plus, participants will have the opportunity to win cash prizes by competing and placing in select events!

With deep sadness and heavy hearts, the Jaquan Lavender Foundation honors the life and legacy of our beloved former board member and mentor, Toshchel Demus, who passed away just a few days ago.

Toshchel was more than a member of our foundation—she was a guiding light, a voice of wisdom, and a source of strength for everyone she encountered. Her compassion, leadership, and unwavering commitment to uplifting others left an impact that will continue to live far beyond her time with us.

She believed in purpose, in community, and in pouring into others even when no one was watching. Her presence brought encouragement, clarity, and heart to our mission, and her absence leaves a space that cannot be filled.

To know Toshchel was to experience kindness, resilience, and genuine care. She helped shape not only the direction of our foundation but also the lives of those fortunate enough to work alongside her.

Today, we grieve her passing—but we also celebrate her life, her legacy, and the countless ways she poured into others. We extend our deepest prayers and condolences to her family, friends, and all who loved her.
